In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and for you to decide whether I’m the right fit for you. We’ll start at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I’ll ask some questions about what brought you to therapy, what’s been challenging lately, and what you hope to get out of our work together. You’re always in control of what you share. There’s no pressure to tell your whole story all at once. I’ll also explain how I work as a therapist, answer any questions you have, and talk through what therapy with me might look like moving forward. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer sense of next steps, even if that’s simply feeling less alone with what you’re carrying. There’s no “right” way to show up. You can be nervous, unsure, talkative, quiet, or anywhere in between. We’ll take it one step at a time.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strength is creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly heard and understood. I balance empathy with practical, evidence-based tools, helping clients gain insight, break unhelpful patterns, and make meaningful changes in their daily lives.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with clients who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected and are ready to better understand themselves and create meaningful change. Many of the people I support are navigating anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, or patterns that no longer serve them. My ideal clients are open to reflection, curious about their inner world, and willing to engage in the therapeutic process at their own pace. Whether you’re new to therapy or returning with a clearer sense of what you want, I’m especially well-suited for those seeking both emotional support and practical tools to help them feel more grounded, confident, and aligned in their lives.

I appreciate that Leanne is sensitive to my emotions. She doesn’t push me when certain topics get hard or emotional for me. She’s given me tools to help me work through difficult emotions.
