You don't have to keep carrying this alone. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism, or a life that feels overwhelming: relief is possible, and you deserve support that truly fits who you are. I'm Matt Tapia, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), licensed in Arizona and California. My background is genuinely unique: I'm one of the few therapists who holds both a clinical therapy license and a behavioral science certification. That combination means I bring two powerful perspectives into every session: the emotional depth of relationship-centered therapy and the practical, evidence-based tools of behavioral science. We won't just talk about how you feel. We'll understand why you do what you do, and build a real plan to change it. I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families, and my practice is proudly neurodivergent-affirming. You belong here.

I am a licensed clinical social worker who have been practicing for over 12 years. My passion is working with adults and guiding them in overcoming trauma and healing wounded child parts. This passion is due to my own healing journey as a child who was touched inappropriately, exposed to domestic violence in a military household where my father abused drugs, physically abused my mother, and later experienced the death of my then 3-year-old son. Through my own healing journey, I learned how to "manage" my symptoms after receiving CBT talk therapy and grief counseling but had never healed from my trauma or knew about a wounded child part until receiving my own EMDR counseling. Since then, I have dedicated my life to supporting others who are on their own healing journeys. Before healing, I experienced symptoms consisting of low self-esteem, mood instability, not feeling safe, trust issues, and the need to control everything which negatively impacted my relationships with others. The journey was difficult but successful, thanks to EMDR. Thankfully, your journey doesn't have to be difficult. EMDR and Brainspotting are two highly effective modalities in treating trauma by helping to heal wounded parts through the brain's own healing process. If you're tired of feeling that you're always being judged, feeling stuck and unable to move forward because “something” is holding you back, experiencing trust or relationship issues, not feeling as if you're good enough, or if you're waking up sad, angry, irritable, or depressed and not understanding why, you may have a wounded part that's ready to heal. If so, I would be honored for the opportunity to help the wounded part within you to recognize that they're safe, they can trust, and that they're good enough.

Grow Thriver Award 2026 I bring both professional and personal experience to my work as a therapist. Having a Bipolar 1 diagnosis has given me a unique perspective on the challenges of navigating the institutional and often stigmatized aspects of mental health and the impact on life. This lived experience allows me to approach therapy with empathy, a genuine curiosity and appreciation for each client’s journey, while also emphasizing overall holistic living for optimal wellness of mind and body. Professionally, I’ve worked in psychiatric residential treatment, addiction medicine, youth detention and private practice settings. These experiences have strengthened my ability to support clients through a wide range of concerns from mild to severe forms of mental health challenges and their impact on daily living. I integrate a lot of somatic and sensory-based tools focusing on emotion and nervous system regulation, including brainspotting, drumming, sound therapy, aromatherapy, meditation techniques and other mindfulness tools, along with an emphasis on nature therapy, nutrition in relation to mental health and sleep hygiene. Alongside these approaches, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to examine and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, strengthen emotion regulation, and collaborate with clients to develop the most applicable coping strategies in those areas. I have extensive experience supporting clients with addictions, complex PTSD/trauma history, ADHD, BPD, bipolar and schizophrenia, among others. "Based on your exceptional client engagement and outstanding care, you’ve officially qualified as a 2026 Grow Therapy Thriver! 🎉 (roughly 600 out of 25,000+ providers) This recognition reflects the meaningful relationships you build with clients from the start and the trust you inspire through your work. Becoming a Thriver places you among a select group of providers who set the tone for excellence across the Grow platform. We’re honored to celebrate this milestone with you."

Hello ! I am Sergio Fernando Gueller, LCSW, I am an American citizen and love our Blessed country with all my heart; I am also an immigrant from Latin America, Argentina, who arrived to this country at age 19 (I am currently 65), "tired and poor" and escaping an unstable political environment and difficult socioeconomic perspectives. I completed my training in Europe and Latin America through my participation in many seminars and obtaining several certifications in this field, however, all my formal education took place in California and Oregon, in the USA. My approach to psychotherapy is eclectic and practical and am focused on providing immediate alleviation and crisis resolution to my clients via powerful cognitive/behavioral tools which I use daily in my practice. I am a simple person and my approach is formal and respectful, however, I use respectful/sensitive humor and levity therapeutically when appropriate as I believe it is a major part of my method.

I am a down-to-earth and collaborative therapist who believes that the foundation of effective healing is a genuine, honest connection. I prioritize creating a transparent environment where you feel heard and respected, allowing us to work as true partners in your mental health journey. My approach is grounded in the belief that therapy is most effective when it is practical, straightforward, and focused on your unique reality. In our sessions, I value honesty and the identification of healthy, realistic goals. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), where we work together to uncover the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By identifying irrational thinking patterns and challenging negative self-talk, we can begin to reframe your narrative in a way that serves your growth rather than hindering it. I understand that starting therapy can feel like a significant step, which is why I focus on providing a non-judgmental space where we can tackle challenges at your pace. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, daily stress, or life transitions, my goal is to provide you with a functional toolkit of strategies you can use long after our sessions end. Together, we will move toward a more balanced, resilient, and fulfilling life.

Hey, I’m a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I’m really glad you’re here. Taking this step for your mental health is a big deal, and I’m genuinely proud of you for making it a priority. You don’t have to figure this out alone—I’m excited to embark on this journey with you and help you navigate this process at a pace that feels right for you. In our work together, I pull from a few different modalities in my wheelhouse: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for emotion regulation and boundaries, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma‐Focused CBT (T‐CBT) for shifting unhelpful thought patterns, Motivational Interviewing for getting unstuck and building momentum, Family Systems for understanding family dynamics, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for living more in line with what truly matters to you. We might lean on one approach or blend several, but the goal is always the same—to help you feel more grounded, more understood, and more equipped to handle real-life stress, not just “therapy room” problems

Hello, You may have often heard some people say that therapy is for only those with a mental illness or are "crazy". I'm Mark G. Koch and have been a licensed Marriage Family Therapist since 1996, and I can honestly tell you that those type of statements are a myth. Everyone has a view of how the world works and we use the tools we have to deal with our issues, but occasionally there comes a time when a problem arises that we have no answer to. At this point we become "stuck". You can say that these are the cards life has dealt you and do nothing, or you can get help to learn new ways to see your world and use new tools to change your world. You have the strength and you have the power and somewhere in your mind, you have the answers. My job is to help you find them and to show you how to use them, so that you can begin to move towards whatever your goals are for your world. I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including private practice, psychiatric hospitals, County Mental Health, non-profit organizations and most recently utilizing remote virtual therapy. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups. My expertise in is Obsessive Compulsive Disorders and other Anxiety Disorders along with Depression, but I also have had a multitude of experience with Personality Disorders, Bi-Polar Disorders, and with dual diagnosis. A dual diagnosis is when a person has a mental health issue such as depression, and is also dealing with a drug/alcohol issue. Having said all of this, I actually have had a great amount of success dealing with adolescents, those having relationship issues, and communication between couples. I look forward to hearing from you.

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Ph.D. candidate in Depth Psychology with a focus on integrative healing practices. Over the past nine years, I’ve supported individuals and families across diverse clinical settings, including schools, private practice, and NGOs globally. My work centers on helping clients reconnect with their authentic Self by gently exploring the uncharted terrain of the inner world. I believe that true transformation begins when we stop trying to fix ourselves and start listening to what our symptoms, patterns, and longings are asking of us. Therapy with me isn’t about finding quick solutions. It’s about being witnessed in your vulnerability, meeting yourself with compassion, and remembering who you are beneath the protective layers that once kept you safe. Whether you're navigating grief, relational pain, life transitions, or the quiet ache of disconnection, I offer a grounded, compassionate space for deep inquiry and healing. If something here resonates, I invite you to reach out. We can begin with a conversation and explore what’s possible.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to supporting adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, addiction, life transitions and relationship challenges. I believe therapy is a journey inward—one that honors the mind, heart, and spirit. My goal is to help clients reconnect with their inner strengths and their Best Self: the part of you that is grounded in clarity, resilience, and compassion. At any stage of life, your Best Self remains present—offering wisdom, healing, and the possibility of deep inner peace even in the presence of deep pain or long-standing challenges. I hold a Master of Arts in Spiritual and Counseling Psychology and have trained in grief and loss, community mental health, psychiatric settings, and addiction treatment. In my private practice, I am deeply committed to creating a safe, shame-free, and growth-oriented space that honors each client’s unique healing process. My therapeutic approach is integrative, relational, and grounded in deep caring and lived experience. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to identify and shift unhelpful patterns; mindfulness and acceptance-based practices to cultivate present-moment awareness and self-compassion; and humanistic and spiritual perspectives that invite exploration of meaning, authenticity, and purpose. Therapy is a collaborative process. Together we work in a compassionate space to reconnect with your Best Self—honoring a lifetime of experience while cultivating peace, resilience, and self-compassion in all seasons of life.

All things are interconnected. To feel better, you have to act better. To feel better, you have to think better. To think better, you have to feel better. To act better, you have to think better. To think, feel, and act better, you have to care for your physical health. To care for your physical health, you have to think, feel, and act better. Each has a corresponding effect on the other. However, the aspect of ourselves that we have the most direct control of is what we do, our acting. While we can influence other people, we cannot control other people. A great source of conflict and unhappiness results from our efforts to control others. If you want better relationships, the only thing we can control is what we do, how we choose to relate. We are responsible for what we do. Others are responsible for what they do. Accepting this fundamental reality and thinking, feeling, and acting in accordance with it is how we increase our experience of power, freedom, belonging, meaning and, very importantly, fun. My professional experience includes over 30 years of post-Master’s clinical work, including leadership experience in foster care, chemical abuse and addiction, inpatient and outpatient mental health services, and crisis intervention, de-escalation, and hospitalization. I am experienced in working with ages three through the elderly. I have worked extensively with youth and families, diverse populations and life issues, providing services in various settings, including family homes, schools, juvenile detention facilities, jails, outpatient clinics, and inpatient psychiatric facilities.

To others it may seem like you've got it all together, but on the inside you're spinning out of control. Panic randomly punches you in the chest, taking your breath away, and you can't focus on anything else other than how to make it stop. You are consumed by trying to keep up with everyone else since they seem to have it all together, but you can barely function through the day. You feel like an awful mom because you are lashing out on your kids and hating the daily monotony instead of "embracing the joy of motherhood." You feel like you are failing your partner because somewhere along this journey you just lost yourself. You want to be a better mom to your kids. And remember why you fell in love with your partner. And stop the tornado of anxiety that knocks you out on the regular. You want to stop living by the expectations of others and rediscover who you truly are. It's time to win back some peace of mind and self-worth and attract the life you want. I have the DBT and mindfulness skills, which uses both mind and body exercises that will help you manage the crippling anxiety, love yourself better, be a more present and joyful mom, improve your relationships, and attract the life you want.

Hi, I'm Vong! I've always been someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people. Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in California. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across California from San Francisco to San Diego! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in California.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Bipolar Disorder, is filtering therapists in California that work with patients with similar concerns.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
