My psychotherapy style is designed around your goals, addressing factors that may impact your mental health, such as stress, relationships, and sleep. With options like nutrition guidance, cognitive behavioral therapy for sleep, stress management tools, and collaboration with your healthcare providers, I take an integrated approach to help you achieve meaningful and lasting change.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our first session, we will spend most of the time getting to know each other. It is important to develop and maintain trust with your therapy provider, and I bring my authentic self to every session. This is the basis for all of our future work. You will have time to ask questions, provide your background and we will start discussing your goals.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I believe that my strengths include open and direct communication in therapy, holding spaces for clients with significant trauma, and validating and encouraging smalls steps of growth and change. It is important to be seen, to be safe and to have open and lasting trust in relationships and therapy should mirror these ideal behaviors.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I specialize in treating severe anxiety disorders, mood disorders and post-traumatic stress with cognitive behavioral therapy modalities and mindfulness based practices. I enjoy working with diverse, multicultural clients in building goals towards improved wellness, and better managing stress through mindfulness-based, holistic lifestyle practices. I’ve also worked as an Equal Opportunity Officer for the United States Navy and a Transition Assistance Officer for service members undergoing gender affirmation surgery.

This is only my second session with her but it is very easy to talk with her. I’ve been wanting to do therapy for a long time but just felt it showed weakness. It only being my second session I feel very optimistic about the end goal.
