(she/her)
I provide psychotherapy tailored to your unique needs, using evidence-based interventions to address your mental health challenges. Whether you’re seeking traditional talk therapy or a more integrated approach, my customizable services empower you to decide the focus while I guide you every step of the way. My psychotherapy style is designed around your goals, addressing factors that may impact your mental health, such as stress, relationships, and sleep. With options like nutrition guidance, cognitive behavioral therapy for sleep, stress management tools, and collaboration with your healthcare providers, I take an integrated approach to help you achieve meaningful and lasting change.
During our first session, we will spend most of the time getting to know each other. It is important to develop and maintain trust with your therapy provider, and I bring my authentic self to every session. This is the basis for all of our future work. You will have time to ask questions, provide your background and we will start discussing your goals.
I believe that my strengths include open and direct communication in therapy, holding spaces for clients with significant trauma, and validating and encouraging smalls steps of growth and change. It is important to be seen, to be safe and to have open and lasting trust in relationships and therapy should mirror these ideal behaviors.
I specialize in treating severe anxiety disorders, mood disorders and post-traumatic stress with cognitive behavioral therapy modalities and mindfulness based practices. I enjoy working with diverse, multicultural clients in building goals towards improved wellness, and better managing stress through mindfulness-based, holistic lifestyle practices. I have experience in Military and Foreign Service populations, medical social work, residential substance treatment and aviation medicine for the United States Navy and Marine Corps. I’ve also worked as an Equal Opportunity Officer for the United States Navy and a Transition Assistance Officer for service members undergoing gender affirmation surgery.

The comfort that I feel to share some of my stuff is really where I feel I can open up with her. Very relaxing.

She's very down-to-earth and easy to talk to, but she will directly challenge you in constructive ways. She's also knowledgable about chronic illness, and it has been so encouraging to speak to someone who truly understands and empathizes with the impact of it on my life. Each time I leave our sessions, I walk away feeling better and more motivated than I did going in!
