Hello! I’m Gloria, a Filipina licensed clinical psychologist originally from Guam, now based in the Bay Area, CA. I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and have specialized training in treating depression, anxiety, addiction, and multicultural concerns—areas that continue to guide my work today. Before becoming a psychologist, I spent eight years as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a memory care unit, supporting individuals with dementia and their families. That experience shaped my understanding of caregiver stress and inspired my doctoral dissertation, which focused on the emotional impact of caregiving. It also deepened my belief that self-care and balance aren’t luxuries, they’re essential to our well-being. My clinical experience includes working in a variety of settings, where I’ve supported clients through identity exploration, emotional challenges, and major life transitions. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing, and tailor each session to your unique needs and goals. At the core of my work is the belief that therapy should be a safe, inclusive, and empowering space, one where your full self is welcomed and affirmed. I bring a deep commitment to cultural sensitivity, authenticity, and compassion, drawing from both my professional training and lived experience. Therapy with me is not just about managing challenges, it’s about growth, healing, and creating a life that feels true to you. I look forward to walking alongside you on that journey.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll focus on building rapport, exploring the challenges you're facing, and identifying the goals you have for yourself. This helps me gain a deeper understanding of who you are and the various factors contributing to your current concerns. I strive to create a safe, affirming, and empowering space where your whole self is seen, welcomed, and respected. You deserve to feel supported as you heal. My goal is to earn your trust and create a space where you can begin to feel more grounded, connected, and hopeful about the path ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a psychologist, I value building authentic and meaningful connections, empowering those I work with, and offering care that is culturally responsive and grounded in empathy. I’m dedicated to helping individuals develop practical tools to improve their well-being and navigate life with greater confidence and clarity. I’m especially passionate about supporting healing from intergenerational trauma. I believe that healing doesn’t have to happen in isolation, we all deserve to be supported, seen, and held as we move through our healing journeys.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with individuals who are ready to explore their healing and growth, especially those navigating depression, anxiety, substance use, or big life changes. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and grounded in empathy. I help clients find balance, set meaningful goals, and move forward at their own pace. I enjoy working with people who are open to the process and want a therapist who brings compassion and a non-judgmental presence to every session.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients work through depression, anxiety, and everyday life stress. We look at how certain thoughts and beliefs might be making you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or down—and then find ways to shift those patterns. It's a collaborative process where we focus on building practical tools you can use in your daily life to feel more balanced, capable, and in control. It’s not about “fixing” you, it’s about helping you understand what’s getting in the way and learning how to move forward with more clarity and confidence.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients manage tough emotions, reduce anxiety, and cope with stress in healthier ways. We focus on building skills like mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance and setting boundaries, so you can feel more grounded, in control, and better equipped to handle life’s ups and downs.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to support clients navigating substance use, burnout, or major life transitions. It’s a collaborative, non-judgmental approach that helps you explore what’s important to you, clarify your goals, and build motivation to make meaningful changes, at your own pace and in your own way.
