LMFT, 16 years of experience
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working with adults and adolescents who are navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, addiction, relationship challenges, and anger issues. I am passionate about helping clients access their inner strengths and live from their Best Self—the part of them that embodies resilience, clarity, and compassion. I hold a Master of Arts in Spiritual and Counseling Psychology, and my clinical training includes work in community mental health, psychiatric and addiction treatment as well as my private practice where I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and growth-oriented environment. I believe that each person has the innate capacity for healing, growth, and transformation, no matter the challenges they face or the pain of their past. My goal is to help clients release self-defeating thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and behaviors that interfere with emotional and spiritual well-being. My therapeutic approach is integrative and holistic, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to identify and shift unhelpful patterns, Mindfulness and Acceptance-Based interventions to foster present-moment awareness and self-compassion, and Humanistic and Existential perspectives, inviting exploration of meaning, authenticity, and purpose, as well as somatic awareness to support mind-body integration and stress regulation. Together, we work collaboratively to help you access your inner wisdom, develop new coping tools, and move toward a more balanced, authentic, and fulfilling life.
The first session can be exciting but also anxiety provoking! As we get to know one another, I will want to know where you are now and where you see yourself when our journey together is complete.
Besides loving what I do, I am both caring and curious. Using perspective , humor and my therapeutic skills, I hope to share with you my vision of you- someone with infinite potential.
I love clients that despite their fears are curious and committed to seeking help and really wanting to evolve and change. Whether you are just starting off in life as a young adult, experiencing a mid-life reckoning of the direction to take or an older adult exploring your past and this present stage in life, I will be honored to be part of your journey.
I have studied numerous treatment methods and have found benefit in many. I prefer to tailor the method to the client's needs and the amount of time they want to spend on the therapeutic process. I am very insight/ supportive/ client centered.
I find CBT extremely helpful when a client feels "stuck" and is looking for concrete, actionable means to change a present/ongoing issue that they are having difficulty in resolving. I also use TF-CBT for trauma/PTSD.
I have an academic basis in spiritual psychology and believe that meditation and mindfulness allow to experience a deeper connection to ourselves and the world around us. these modalities support the client in attain a sense of inner peace and belonging.

We seem to have excellent rapport with each other. I'd check more of the boxes if not limited to 2 characteristics that stand out about Ana's therapy style. I look forward to working with Ana.
