Hi! I am a licensed Marriage and Family therapist working with adults and adolescents presenting with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, addiction, relationship and anger issues. I am passionate about supporting you to access your strengths and discover your full potential or as I describe it, as your "Best Self." I hold a Master of Arts in Spiritual and Counseling Psychology and my clinical training included community mental health settings, psychiatric/addiction residential treatment and school based settings as well as my private practice. I believe we all have the inner resources and innate ability to access our strengths, intuition and knowledge in order to create the changes and growth we want in our lives in spite of life’s present challenges or past trauma. I am committed to supporting my patients in releasing the self defeating thoughts, beliefs, emotions and addictive behaviors that keep them from experiencing emotional and spiritual wellness. My approach combines practical strategies with mindfulness and acceptance based interventions.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session can be exciting but also anxiety provoking! As we get to know one another, I will want to know where you are now and where you see yourself when our journey together is complete.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Besides loving what I do, I am both caring and curious. Using perspective , humor and my therapeutic skills, I hope to share with you my vision of you- someone with infinite potential.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

I have studied numerous treatment methods and have found benefit in many. I prefer to tailor the method to the client's needs and the amount of time they want to spend on the therapeutic process. I am very insight/ supportive/ client centered.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I find CBT extremely helpful when a client feels "stuck" and is looking for concrete, actionable means to change a present/ongoing issue that they are having difficulty in resolving. I also use TF-CBT for trauma/PTSD.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I have an academic basis in spiritual psychology and believe that meditation and mindfulness allow to experience a deeper connection to ourselves and the world around us. these modalities support the client in attain a sense of inner peace and belonging.
