My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to treat addiction focusing on identifying and changing the thought patterns that drive harmful behaviors. In my practice, I help clients recognize triggers, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and develop healthy coping strategies. CBT provides clients with practical tools that support long-term recovery and relapse prevention."

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I focus on understanding your unique story—what you’ve been through, what has worked for you in the past, and what challenges keep showing up.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients increase psychological flexibility and live in alignment with their values. My approach focuses on mindfulness skills to accept difficult thoughts and emotions without judgment, while committing to behavior changes that support recovery. ACT empowers clients to tolerate discomfort, reduce avoidance patterns, and make choices that foster long-term wellbeing.

Mind-body approach

I use a mind-body approach to address the connection between physical, emotional, and mental health in addiction recovery. This includes mindfulness, breathing techniques, and somatic awareness to help regulate the nervous system and reduce stress. By integrating these practices with traditional therapy, clients build resilience, improve self-awareness, and strengthen their ability to manage cravings and triggers.

Trauma Informed Care

I use a trauma-informed care approach that prioritizes safety, trust, and empowerment, recognizing the impact trauma can have on addiction and recovery. My practice focuses on creating a supportive environment, avoiding re-traumatization, and helping clients develop coping skills to manage triggers. This approach allows clients to process experiences at their own pace while building a strong foundation for lasting change.
