My name is Jenniffer Mogrovejo, and I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in California. For the past 18 years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting adults as they navigate depression, anxiety, grief, and relationship challenges. I also bring extensive experience working alongside parents and families caring for a child with severe mental illness and/or special needs, helping them feel understood, supported, and less alone. I’m deeply passionate about creating a safe, compassionate space where my clients can find peace, healing, and acceptance. Together, we build meaningful skills, strengthen support systems, and work toward a life that feels more grounded and hopeful.
In our first session, we’ll take some time to gently explore what brought you to therapy, what’s been weighing on you, and what you hope to gain from this process. These early conversations help me understand your experiences and give us a foundation to begin creating insight, relief, and a sense of hope for the path ahead.
I’m a compassionate therapist who truly believes in partnering with you to uncover solutions and connect you with the resources that can help you feel better, sooner. Feeling better might mean gaining the confidence to face life’s challenges with more steadiness or discovering tools and strategies that make your symptoms feel more manageable. My goal is to walk alongside you as you build that sense of strength, clarity, and relief.
I have successfully worked with clients in helping them decrease anxiety, depression, grief (due to various types of losses). I help parents understand their child's mental health diagnosis and provide a safe space to process their feelings and empower them to become better advocates for their child.
Eclectic
I incorporate different modalities in order to assist my clients. I am trained in CBT, DBT, solution focused, and psychoanalytic approaches.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
One of the approaches I often use is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This method is based on the understanding that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are deeply interconnected. When we learn to gently shift unhelpful thinking patterns, we can create meaningful, lasting changes in how we feel and how we move through our lives.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Another approach I often use is Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). DBT focuses on building practical, meaningful skills that support a more balanced emotional life and help you move toward creating a life that truly feels worth living.
