Life transitions and unexpected challenges can bring a mix of emotions, including stress, uncertainty, anxiety, sadness, and self-doubt. Whether you are navigating changes in relationships, school, work, identity, family dynamics, or other personal challenges, therapy can provide a supportive space to process these experiences and develop healthier ways of coping. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy in both English and Spanish. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families from diverse cultural backgrounds and strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and empowered. Over the past several years, I have worked in a variety of settings including schools, community mental health, inpatient psychiatric care, and hospital emergency services, helping individuals manage anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, life transitions, and interpersonal challenges.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if this is your first time reaching out for support. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and heard without judgment. During our first session, we will talk about what brings you to therapy, explore the challenges you may be experiencing, and identify goals that are meaningful to you. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We will work together at your pace while building practical coping skills, increasing self-awareness, and identifying strengths that can support your growth and healing. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique experiences and needs.
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is the foundational model that guides my practice. My clients will understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings and behaviors; and how this interconnection impacts their ability to solve problems, make decisions, identify strengths and set goals. Through CBT, my clients will gain better insight into their presenting symptoms and inherit the tools and skills needed to overcome the challenges and barriers that impact their social, academic and life functioning. Community and family engagement is a core element of my services because it promotes communication, monitoring and focus through a structured and collaborative framework. I also engage in research, consultation and training on evidence-based practices so that I can strengthen my clinical skills and meet the unique needs of the clients that I serve.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to connect with clients in a genuine, compassionate, and supportive way. I strive to create an environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves while working toward meaningful change. I am passionate about helping individuals recognize their strengths, overcome barriers, and build the confidence needed to move forward in their personal journey. I have extensive experience working with culturally diverse and underserved communities and remain committed to providing inclusive, respectful, and affirming care to every client.
I enjoy working with children, teenagers, adults, and families who may be feeling overwhelmed, emotionally drained, stuck, or simply trying to better understand themselves and the challenges they are facing. Many of the clients I work with are navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship difficulties, family conflict, low self-esteem, or past experiences that continue to impact their daily lives. I strive to create a supportive and welcoming space where clients feel comfortable being themselves without fear of judgment. Whether you are coming to therapy to build coping skills, improve relationships, gain confidence, process difficult experiences, or simply have a safe place to talk, my goal is to help you feel supported, understood, and empowered throughout the process.
