Welcome! I'm John Dias. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Working through the lens of the effects of trauma and shame; I have helped these populations to manage and/or alleviate psychological and emotional struggles that result in anxiety, depression, and poor coping skills. I use an integrative approach to find what model suits each clients needs. In doing this, I have helped clients feel more apart of their journey in therapy. Helping them feel more secure and safe in a process that can be scary to some.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with these populations for the past 8 years, I've been successful for helping them (a) identify the root cause of their challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.

My treatment methods

Integrative

Using an integrative approach has helped me identify the most suitable approach to meet each individuals needs rather than hold fidelity to one particular model.

Couples Counseling

Using Emotionally Focused Therapy helps couples navigate their understanding of how they experience life through the lens of emotional understanding, awareness, and view of attachment with others.

Family Therapy

Helps families understand issues within their family system is a result of the family as a whole and not a particular individual or individuals.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

I use EFT to help individuals and couples navigate their understanding of how they experience life through the lens of emotional understanding, awareness, and view of attachment with others.
