(he/him)
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. My approach is warm and down-to-earth, and use perspectives and tools from many styles of therapy such as EMDR, somatic, and Brainspotting so that I can tailor a unique approach together with you. I strive to be clear, honest, and genuine to learn about your reality in a manner that feels comfortable for you.
During our initial session, my focus is on getting to know you and understanding your story, struggles, and goals. I believe in building a trust-based relationship and moving at a pace that feels right for you. By the end of our session, we'll work together to develop tools and strategies to support you in achieving your goals. I will leave time to answer any questions you may have for me.
I have experience in various contexts, and I have practiced in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. I have experience treating people struggling with chronic stress, life crises, depression, anxiety, loss and grief, health issues, career and work-life balance difficulties, parenting, and relationship issues.
I work with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma. I am trained in The Safe and Sound Protocol is a listening therapy to unlock your ability to think, feel and connect better through nervous system regulation. SSP is a comprehensive approach to healing. This unique listening therapy is a journey to create a safe space for brain and body integration and healing to achieve impactful, long-lasting results. Many clients who experience the SSP report fewer symptoms of anxiety, depression and trauma-related symptoms. Caregivers of children who experience the SSP report fewer psychosocial challenges. The Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP) is a therapeutic approach designed to promote deep relaxation and recovery. It utilizes sound-based interventions to support the autonomic nervous system, helping to improve both mental and physical well-being. the protocol aims to reconnect the body to its natural rhythms, enhancing health, sleep, and emotional regulation.
Somatic therapy is rooted in somatic psychology, a body-oriented approach to psychology. Somatic therapies work by addressing the feedback loop that continually runs between the mind and the body.
I have used EMDR for several months and use it in a safe comfortable space for clients.
I have been using the principles of polyvagal theory for two years to support clients in understanding their nervous system to improve their mental health and wellbeing.
