My experience in the behavioral health and wellness field has shaped my understanding and approach to supporting clients with a person-centered and solution-focused method for therapy. I specialize in supporting adults and young adults that are experiencing depression, anxiety, or healing from trauma. In our first session, we will discuss the establishing of safety, trust, and confidentiality within the therapeutic relationship. We will also work together to set a desired goal, session interval, and how I can support you in on your journey of more positive mental wellbeing.
Over the years in this field, I have had much success supporting clients that have been experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship stress, traumatic events, postpartum and motherhood issues, and professional/work related stress. I have been trained and certified in CBT. I utilize this in conjunction with art therapy approaches. I may offer tasks and strategies to track distorted thinking and challenge negative behaviors.
I utilized this method when building rapport or supporting client in reflection about difficult topics.
I have certified in TF-CBT and often utilize this to help clients heal trauma and understand trauma responses if struggling with PTSD.
