Are you tired of being the emotional project manager in your relationships? Do you stay calm on the outside while mentally writing resignation letters from your relationships? **Could you BE any more overwhelmed? (Chandler’s voice)** Well, hello—I’m really glad you’re here. If you’re someone who looks capable on the outside but feels stretched thin, overwhelmed, or quietly exhausted on the inside, you’re in the right place. I’m Katrina, a Christian therapist who works with high-achieving individuals navigating relationship shifts, workplace stress, and the pressure of holding it all together. My work blends evidence-based approaches like Compassion-Focused Therapy and CBT with faith-centered values  and scripture references, creating a space where you don’t have to choose between emotional healing and your beliefs. And yes, I believe therapy can be meaningful without feeling painfully serious all the time. If you appreciate a well-timed *Friends*, *The Office*, *Parks and Recreation*, or *Brooklyn Nine-Nine* reference, we’ll probably get along just fine. Sometimes humor helps us feel human, breathe a little deeper, and make space for the harder conversations. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you. It’s about helping you slow down, untangle the mental noise, and reconnect with who you are beneath all the expectations and responsibilities. This is a place where you can stop performing, be honest, laugh when you need to, and feel supported as you move toward clarity, peace, and purpose. If you’re looking for a therapist who understands both your ambition and your faith—and who won’t mind the occasional pop-culture reference—I’d love to walk alongside you. Let’s turn survival mode into sustainable growth and help you feel grounded, confident, and hopeful again. Schedule an appointment today, and let’s take the next step together.

Hi, I’m Jacob Mooradian. I earned my bachelor’s degree from CSU Fullerton and my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University, where I focused on mental health and supporting people through life’s challenges. I love bringing in media like movies, TV shows, sports, and current trends to make our conversations relatable, engaging, and grounded in real life. My goal is to validate your experiences, help you gain clarity, and build practical tools you can use every day. Hi. My name is Ana Hernandez. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with three years of experience helping clients navigate life's most difficult moments. I help people who feel stuck in cycles of anxiety and depression find their way back to steadiness. Whether you're dealing with racing thoughts that won't quiet down, a low mood that has settled in and won't lift, or the exhaustion of trying to hold it all together, you don't have to figure it out alone. My approach is rooted in Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy to meet each person where they are. I believe that everyone carries a story about who they are, and they are capable of -sometimes that story gets stuck; it gets weighed down by pain, anxiety, trauma, marital conflicts, and life transitions. Together, we'll gently unpack the story, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and rebuild the relationships and inner narrative that help you thrive. Whether you are an adult navigating stress, anxiety, or life transitions, or a couple navigating lack of connection and trust, or a family struggling, my approach is collaborative, warm, and tailored to you: Narrative Therapy- helping you separate yourself from your problems to rewrite your story with agency and hope. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy- practical tools to identify and reshape thought patterns that hold you back. Interpersonal Therapy- strengthening relationships and communication that support your well-being. My goal is simple: to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and equipped with real tools for lasting change.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with five years of experience providing individual therapy for adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, and major life transitions. I am deeply committed to helping clients heal emotionally, build resilience, and reconnect with their sense of worth and purpose. My passion for this work is rooted in lived experience. Moving to Nigeria at the age of six, losing my father at twelve, and later experiencing the loss of my newborn taught me firsthand about grief, strength, and the importance of compassionate support. These experiences shaped both who I am and how I show up as a therapist—with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a deep respect for each client’s journey. I believe healing happens when people feel safe, understood, and empowered. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and grounded in helping clients move from feeling overwhelmed or stuck toward clarity, emotional balance, and meaningful personal growth.

I believe therapy should be a place where you can come as you are and feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. As a first-generation Asian American and Christian therapist, I understand how faith, culture, family expectations, relationships, and life experiences can shape who we are and how we see ourselves. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California and over 13 years of experience working with children and families. My approach is warm, genuine, compassionate, and down-to-earth, thoughtfully integrating evidence-based therapy with faith and spirituality when desired. I have a special heart for supporting young adults, couples, families, parents, and older adults navigating life transitions, relationships, family conflict, motherhood and postpartum adjustment, parenting, grief and loss, self-esteem, cultural pressures, and personal growth. I believe healing often begins by renewing the way we see ourselves, our circumstances, and what is possible for our future. Our hardest seasons do not have to define us; they can become part of a story of growth, healing, and transformation. It would be an honor to walk alongside you as you move toward renewed hope and meaningful change.

You do not have to be in crisis to begin therapy. Sometimes knowing that something needs to change is enough reason to start. You don’t have to do this alone—Hope Abounds.

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you’re used to handling things on your own. My goal is to create a space where clients feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood. I strive to bring a calm, non-anxious presence into the room while keeping therapy warm, conversational, and human. I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety and panic disorders, OCD, ADHD, relationship concerns, and sexual dysfunctions. I also enjoy working with healthcare professionals and people who tend to overthink or feel like they don’t quite “fit in.” My approach is person-centered at its core, meaning I believe therapy works best when clients feel accepted and supported as they are. I then integrate different therapeutic approaches depending on each client’s needs and goals. I believe effective therapy is both human and clinical — connection matters, but so do practical tools and evidence-based strategies. In working with OCD and anxiety, I often remind clients that growth takes practice and consistency. Healing is possible, but it requires learning how to tolerate discomfort rather than avoid it. For couples, I view the relationship as a team. Therapy can help partners improve communication, rebuild trust, and better understand one another. Faith-based or Christian counseling is also available for clients who would like to incorporate spirituality into therapy.

"Life is a journey, travel it well." I believe we're all on our own individual journeys of life that sometimes put us in valleys and sometimes on top of hills. When it comes to the valleys, sometimes it's alright to reach out to someone for a little guidance and help. Hi, my name is Ryan and I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist. One of my favorite parts of my own journey has been navigating the complexities of young adult life stages from college, to work, romance and beyond. But whether or not it's life transitions or just a need for someone to journey along side you during a difficult time, I am here to help.

I have been working as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for the last 14 years and have both a master's degree and doctoral degree in applied clinical psychology. I have worked in the community with individuals, youth with high-risk behaviors, and military families. I specialize in working with individuals with anxiety and/or depression, women's issues, substance abuse and recovery, trauma (PTSD or PTS) , military and veterans, first responders and those facing relationship or life transition concerns. While working with my clients I focus on the whole person, pulling forward your strengths and wisdom to solve life's challenges. I use solution-focused, cognitive behavioral and emotion-focused interventions. I also have seven years experience working with people outdoors in nature. I have a certificate in nutrition for mental health and believe in holistic treatment involving mind, body, and spirit. I will work with you to develop a treatment plan that is right for you as an individual. If you want to work holistically, we will develop a plan to address all three aspects, and if you don't prefer to work holistically, I will tailor your treatment to your specific interests. I value the rapport I develop with my clients above all things. The nature of the therapeutic relationship is the catalyst and holding space that creates safety to do all future work together. Choosing the right therapist who has a personality you are comfortable with is of utmost importance. Please reach out to me for a free phone consultation and let's find out if we can do some great work together to solve life's many challenges.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with six years of experience supporting individuals and families through a variety of challenges. My background includes working with foster children and families, older adults living with chronic health issues, people experiencing mental health crises or substance use disorder, and caregivers supporting loved ones who are sick or elderly. In my work, I strive to create a safe and welcoming space where clients can show up as their authentic selves. I find it helpful to think of our mental health as a garden—complex, living, and full of potential. Sometimes, unhealthy “fruit” in life points to deeper roots beneath the surface. Together, and always at your pace, we explore those roots to uncover negative beliefs or patterns that may be holding you back. As we gently uproot those negative beliefs, we cultivate truth, hope, and healthier ways of thinking so that good fruit can grow. I also hold a Master of Theological Studies from Boston University School of Theology. For clients who wish to integrate their Christian faith into therapy, I offer a space for spiritual exploration and emotional healing. My theological background allows me to walk with clients who are processing “church hurt,” wrestling with questions about God, or navigating the intersection of faith and mental health.

Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in California. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across California from San Francisco to San Diego! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in California.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
