New to Grow
I am a licensed therapist (LMFT #140975, LPCC #17040), Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and Certified Brain Injury Specialist. I believe healing can take place when all parts of the self are welcome to sit at the table. As a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, I help clients understand and work directly with their nervous system, building resilience and a felt sense of safety that supports deeper emotional and relational work. This approach can help people dealing with a variety of things such as relationships, complex trauma, PTSD, ADHD, mild to moderate Traumatic Brain Injury, life transitions, optimization of strengths, increasing tolerance for ease/presence, chronic stress, self-image concerns, anxiety, depression, pain management, and more. I also bring a deep understanding of brain-based differences, including the impacts of trauma and cognitive diversity on the sense of self and relationships. I approach this with a strengths-based, neuro-affirming lens. Rather than viewing individual differences as deficits or damage, I honor the adaptive intelligence of the brain and the ways it reorganizes in response to experience. My goal is not to “fix" neurodivergence, but to help individuals build self-understanding and make space for changes that are important to them. My work is marked by the integration of mind and body. Therapy with me is not about eliminating parts of you. It is about helping all parts feel heard, understood, and organized in a way that allows you to move forward with greater clarity and an embodied sense of peace.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
You can expect a collaborative and grounding experience. We will clarify what brings you in, explore what has and hasn’t worked in the past, and begin identifying both immediate supports and longer-term goals. I will likely ask about your strengths, stress responses, and relationships so we can understand how your experiences live not just cognitively, but also physiologically and systemically. My aim is for you to leave feeling understood, respected, and clear about our direction.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
• A strong ability to track nervous system states and gently guide regulation • Integration of somatic, behavioral, and relational approaches • Deep respect for neurodiversity and disability identity • Practical, skills-based support alongside emotional depth • Systems awareness — understanding how family, culture, and environment shape internal experience • A commitment to helping individuals strengthen their voice, agency, and self-trust We may be a good fit if you are looking for therapy that honors both your resilience and your nervous system, that celebrates difference rather than pathologizes it, and that balances depth with practical tools.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
• Adults and young adults navigating trauma, attachment wounds, or identity-based wounds • Individuals adjusting to disability • Neurodiverse individuals seeking strengths-based and neuro-affirming care • Individuals working through identity shifts, role transitions, or long-standing patterns of self-doubt • Families and couples navigating adjustment, communication challenges, and relational strain
Somatic
I primarily use Somatic Experiencing (SE) in my approach, but I strongly believe therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. SE blends traditional talk therapy with body-based exercises. I use SE to help you gently tune into your body’s sensations as a way to identify your embodied sense of resilience as we work through difficult emotions. Rather than retelling events in detail, we will focus on subtle shifts in tension, warmth, breathing patterns, and impulses to allow your nervous system a chance to complete responses that may have been interrupted. I will also provide education about the nervous system and collaborate with you to identify your unique nervous system patterns to support your overall sense of well-being.
Christian Counseling
Christian counseling integrates evidence-based therapeutic practices with a biblical worldview for clients who desire their faith to be part of the healing process. In our work together, we may explore Scripture, your prayer life, spiritual formation, and theological reflection alongside psychological insight. This approach honors both emotional health and spiritual growth, helping you address concerns such as identity, anxiety, trauma recovery, life adjustments, and grief through the lens of your relationship with God. Participation in faith-based care is always your decision and is guided by your goals and comfort level. You do not have to be a Christian to work with me, all are welcome.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is a structured, goal-oriented approach that focuses on the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and actions. We will identify challenging thinking patterns, beliefs, and behaviors that affect your well-being and address them in ways that improve your overall functioning and resilience. CBT is collaborative and skill-based, equipping you with tools you can use outside of sessions.
