Dr. MJ is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Ph.D. in International Psychology with a specialization in Trauma Services and an honorary doctorate in Biblical Counseling. With 20 years of experience, she has served vulnerable populations across child welfare, psychiatric emergencies, and clinical settings.

Ladies, In our first session together, we’ll start with brief introductions, and then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Strengths
Being so experienced in human services and particularly in the behavioral health field, I’ve developed the skill of forming relationships through being my authentic self which in turn invites others to be theirs. Besides being approachable, I’m strategic once getting to know you in individualizing a plan to help identify the root cause(s) of your challenges and (b) scout a path toward your preferred outcomes with measurable progress.

I love working with women who are eager to improve their life circumstances but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed, and anxious about the way forward.

My focused approach utilizes 17 years of experience providing evidence-based counseling, 4 years of internship, and experience providing biblical support. I endeavor to support clients' healing, growth, and increased authenticity, allowing them to surrender their ashes of grief, trauma, and shame in exchange for the beauty and hope God offers instead.
