As a healing professional with over 25 years of experience, I am dedicated to empowering people to overcome their present challenges and lead more productive, abundant lives. My keen ability to listen, understand, and help others recognize their own internal strengths is my superpower in improving the lives of my clients.

This includes cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, trauma-sensitive approaches, motivational interviewing, and biblical counseling for those with a similar faith.

My services focus on working with individuals, couples, families, and minors (ages 13-17). I specialize in treating ADHD, anger management, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, coping skills, domestic violence, women's issues, substance use, self-esteem, and relationship issues

First session

During our first session, we will focus on building a strong therapeutic alliance and creating a safe, comfortable space for you to share your story. I will listen attentively to understand your unique experiences, challenges, and goals. Together, we will begin to identify the key areas you wish to address in therapy and start developing a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs and aspirations. This initial session serves as a foundation for our work together, and I aim to provide you with a sense of hope, support, and direction as we embark on this transformative journey

Strengths

I approach therapy by utilizing a variety of modalities tailored to each client's specific needs. This includes cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, trauma-sensitive approaches, motivational interviewing, and biblical counseling for those with a similar faith. I conduct a comprehensive assessment using tools, interviews, and observation to thoroughly understand the issues you may be experiencing. Together, we then collaborate to devise an appropriate course of treatment aligned with your unique situation.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is someone who is ready to engage in the therapeutic process with openness, curiosity, and a genuine desire for change—even if they are unsure where to begin. They may come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by emotional pain, relational conflict, or patterns of behavior that no longer serve them. Often, they have reached a point where their current coping strategies are not enough, and they recognize that something in their life needs to shift. What defines them is not perfection or clarity, but a willingness to explore their inner world and consider new ways of understanding themselves. This client values personal growth and is motivated by the hope of improving their overall functioning, emotional well‑being, and relationships. They may struggle with communication, self‑advocacy, or insight into their own needs and hurts. Their concerns often center around feeling stuck, misunderstood, or disconnected—from others or from themselves. They want to feel more grounded, more capable, and more empowered in their daily lives. My ideal client is also someone who appreciates a collaborative therapeutic relationship. I do not see myself as the expert who “fixes” them; instead, I view therapy as a partnership where we work together to uncover strengths, identify patterns, and develop tools that support meaningful change. I am deeply committed to helping clients learn how to help themselves—how to advocate for their mental health, make informed decisions, and navigate challenges with confidence. Empowerment is central to my approach. I want clients to leave therapy not only with insight, but with practical skills and a renewed sense of agency. Ultimately, my ideal client is someone who seeks transformation and is willing to engage in the work required to create a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I was primarily trainined in this perspective. Where appropriate I utilize this method to help clients identify how their current issues may be created, impacted, and sustained by how they perceive the world and their thoughts about the world. This insight can help empower the client to make improvements in their general level of functioning.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I have utilized this method to help clients envision a solution to their current difficulties. Often people struggle with even identifying how improvement and resolution look in objective terms and this lack of insight impedes their ability to move forward. By collaborating on what improvement looks like and developing a plan to achieve improvement progress becomes possible.

Christian Counseling

I utilize the basic tenets of Christianity and scriptural knowledge to help guide clients to identifying areas for improvement and development in their lives
