Hello! My name is Deonia Young and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California and Georgia. I have been a therapist for six years and a social worker for 30 years. It is my pleasure to come alongside individuals, women, families, couples, and children to support you in becoming the best version of yourself. If it is your preference, I am able to blend and offer evidence-based practices with a biblical prospective to support restoration and healing.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we'll start with introductions and then work together to assess the specific challenges you're facing. This collaborative process will help us identify your unique needs and create therapeutic goals that align with your values and aspirations. From there, we'll develop a personalized plan to guide us through the next steps in your journey toward healing and growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a therapist, I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly seen and heard. My greatest strengths lie in my ability to connect with people through authenticity, humor, and deep compassion. Clients often describe me as both relatable—like a trusted friend or favorite aunt—and effective, offering insights and tools that foster real growth and transformation. I have a strong ability to help clients get to the root of their struggles, uncovering underlying patterns and core beliefs that may be holding them back. Through thoughtful exploration and evidence-based techniques, I guide clients in gaining deeper self-awareness and developing practical strategies for lasting change. I believe that healing happens within a strong therapeutic relationship, and I am committed to walking alongside you with encouragement, honesty, and respect. It is an honor to support you on your journey toward greater clarity, resilience, and well-being.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Like the words to one of my favorite songs, I believe there is a candle in every soul, some brightly burning, some dark and cold. If you are feeling anxious, frustrated, confused, defeated, or unseen, you have come to the right place and I am here to support you.
