New clients continue care with this provider

You might be reading this because you or someone else is suffering. Possibly the life you worked for is in jeopardy because of a relationship. Maybe you are missing out by staying on the sidelines. Sometimes no matter how hard you try, you keep finding yourself in the same place again and again…STUCK. You can break the unhealthy patterns. Unfortunately, to do so you might have to experience pain and emptiness to take steps to get better. I hope that you find the support and help you need. To change, the hardest part is starting. Reading this could be your start. You need success to build the confidence to believe you can overcome whatever has been stopping you. Part of my approach is to help you understand and make peace with your past, which provides the foundation to improve your life. While clarifying your dream and vision for your future. As a practitioner my focus is transformation. With work and practice you can move into mental and emotional wholeness. You can live the life of your dreams! Through purposeful action, you can create the life you want. I desire to serve you as a support, coach, and guide in partnering with you into living the life you deserve.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

After the first session, you can expect to feel more hopeful and positive about your life. You might play over in your mind a time in our session when you felt understood. Hopefully, you will feel comfortable attending your next session. I will support you moving forward by using the extensive therapy skills and tools that I have developed over my 13 years of practice. After working together for a while, you can expect to have a different perspective and skills that help you live the way you want.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength is supporting you to do things you need to do to get better. Trying to get better alone can be difficult and frustrating. Doing new behaviors is important for getting unstuck. To be different, you must act differently. Getting started is the key. Are you ready to start the next chapter in your life? Often, we have to get to a place in life that is hopeless. From here, you can begin rebuilding yourself based on your values. During your time of change, you will likely discover how you are strong and resilient with incredible potential for connection.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am open to a broad range of clients. I worked as a generalist rather than a specialist with an "out-of-pocket" private practice for the last 13 years. I am signing on with Grow's insurance to build an online practice so I can relocate. Also, because Grow offers therapy with insurance, I am looking forward to offering a larger pool of people access to my services.

My treatment methods

Somatic

Trauma is stored in the body as feeling or sensation. I work with clients through a process of somatic experiencing. This process supports the releasing stuck or blocked “energy” thereby freeing the person from the trauma symptoms.

EMDR

EMDR is the gold standard in trauma therapy. It provides a clear clinical pathway or formula to support clients in desensitizing and reprocessing trauma. EMDR is a brief therapy that can often produce powerful outcomes in a limited number of sessions.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

This method works to integrate the mind and body through relaxation. I use this method by working to bring body awareness to the client. This is an effective way to treat anxiety and depression.
