I am Dr. Audrey Levy. I live on a boat, and my private practice hours are available 24/7 by appointment only. I also make house calls. I am experienced in helping my clients deal with issues such as Anxiety, Depression, Stress Reduction, Loss and Grief Recovery, Substance Abuse, Anger Management and Crisis Counseling. I provide a calm, empathetic, and nurturing environment where you will feel heard, and most importantly, understood. Together we will work on ways to help you understand your feelings and compulsions. My grieving clients experience closure through writing letters to their loved ones who have died. This letter writing is effective for all forms of loss. Reading the letters aloud is very healing as it encourages acceptance, and permits moving on to build a life filled with love and laughter. As a Doctor of Psychology and psychotherapist for 45+ years, I've dealt with my own grief and loss by writing the nonfiction book, "Doggie Wisdom for Humans: Advice from Dogs for Humans of All Ages," and an autobiographical fiction series, "The Adventures of the Angel Oleo." I hope you have an opportunity to read my books and that I get to help you.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing, as well as get a picture of your history and the events that brought you to me. This will help us decide if we're a good fit to develop a therapeutic bond. If so, we'll set up a couple of future appointments, and we are off and running ~
I like to think that I am a straight shooter. I can be blunt while at the same time being empathetic. In other words, I've been told that I have the ability to understand and share the feelings of others. I also have a good sense of humor, and I firmly believe that laughter is the best medicine!
My adult individual clients are seekers who want to improve the quality of their lives, but don't have the education to accomplish their goal. They often feel frustrated, frightened or sad about their situation. Anxiety and depression run rampant in our culture and, in my caseload, I strive to bring mood stabilzation and a sense of purpose to combat the sense of helplessness.

Audrey was a nice lady. I will say, she asked a lot of very dry impersonal textbook questions that took up almost the entire appointment. I didn't really get to get into my reasons for coming to her and at the end she had me repeat a few affirmations (3 affirmations 3x each after her) and then she suggested I masturbate :( I only had one appointment with her and I have not been back.

Was rude, unprofessional (was wearing a hoodie and took the call in what looked like a garage), made me repeat myself several times, cut me off when I was talking and felt more like an interrogation than proper therapy. I’ve tried other providers and will go back to them.
