Clients say this provider is
I bring both professional knowledge and lived experience to my work as a therapist. Living with a Bipolar I diagnosis has given me firsthand insight into the challenges of navigating mental health systems, stigma, and the ways these experiences can affect identity, relationships, and everyday life. This perspective allows me to meet each client with empathy, genuine curiosity, and respect for the meaning they make of their experiences. Perception is central to my therapeutic approach. Our histories, emotions, environments, and nervous-system states can all influence what we notice, how we interpret events, and how we respond. By exploring these patterns without judgment, I help clients expand their awareness, consider new perspectives, and develop greater choice in how they relate to themselves and the world around them. My professional experience includes psychiatric residential treatment, addiction medicine, youth detention, and private practice. I integrate somatic and sensory-based approaches (including brainspotting, meditation, drumming, sound therapy, aromatherapy, guided visualization, and shamanic-inspired practices) to support emotional processing and nervous-system regulation. I also emphasize nature, nutrition, sleep hygiene, and other foundations of whole-person wellness. From Grow Therapy's Leadership: "Based on your exceptional client engagement and outstanding care, you’ve officially qualified as a 2026 Grow Therapy Thriver! 🎉 (roughly 700 out of 25,000+ providers) This recognition reflects the meaningful relationships you build with clients from the start and the trust you inspire through your work. Becoming a Thriver places you among a select group of providers who set the tone for excellence across the Grow platform. We’re honored to celebrate this milestone with you."
During your first session, my goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you feel heard, validated, and respected. We’ll focus on building rapport and trust, so you can feel comfortable sharing your experiences. We’ll explore what you hope to accomplish in therapy and begin to set the foundation for your healing journey, identifying goals and ways to support your growth, self-awareness, and connection to your intuition.
My strengths as a therapist are authenticity, curiosity, and open-mindedness. I bring a collaborative, peer-to-peer approach that helps clients explore how perception, lived experience, and the nervous system shape their responses to life. My work integrates sensory and somatic practices, brainspotting, hypnotherapy, sound therapy, aromatherapy, nutrition and other foundations of holistic living. When meaningful to the client, I also welcome spirituality as a pathway toward intuition, regulation, and sustainable mind-body well-being.
I have successfully supported clients with a variety of considerations, including bipolar 1 and 2, complex PTSD and trauma history, anxiety, depression, addiction, schizophrenia, anger management, grief and loss, life transitions, holistic wellness, cultural challenges and spirituality, among others. I appreciate working with clients who have a dedication to their mental health and wellness and a willingness to apply the agreed upon strategies discussed in our sessions to reach their desired goals and outcomes in therapy.

I use brainspotting as a powerful modality to access and process unresolved experiences held in the body and nervous system. My approach integrates binaural beats, sound therapy, and principles of certified hypnotherapy to create a relaxed, focused state where healing can unfold. Sessions emphasize building a clear connection to your own intuition, helping you move beyond limiting patterns and reconnect with inner wisdom. Using the format of brainspotting, we work to gently target where the mind and body hold tension, opening space for release, clarity and sustained change.
I integrate DBT to help clients strengthen mindfulness, emotional regulation, resilience, and confidence in navigating life’s challenges. My holistic, sensory-focused approach may also incorporate sound therapy, aromatherapy, guided meditation, sound baths, and shamanic meditative drumming to support relaxation, self-awareness, and a deeper connection with one’s intuition. By blending practical therapeutic skills with restorative mind-body practices, I try and create an engaging space for healing and balance.
I use somatic therapy to help clients understand how emotions, stress, and past experiences are held and expressed within the body. Guided by trauma-informed and polyvagal principles, I integrate brainspotting, hypnotherapy, mindfulness, breathwork, sensory grounding, and guided visualization. Drawing from neuroscience and whole-person wellness, I help clients strengthen nervous-system regulation, self-compassion, embodied awareness, and a deeper sense of connection with themselves.
As a holistic therapist, I work with clients extensively on integrating overall wellness habits and practices into their daily lives, with emphasis on topics such as sleep hygiene, mental health aspects of nutrition, nature therapy and the neuroscience of mindfulness with individually tailored applicability in treatment planning. Other integrative tools can also be used, including meditative drumming in session for further intuition building, guided meditations, spirituality and psychoeducation on many different holistic practices depending on clients personal interest and applicability.

I've been working with Zach for several weeks and it has been nice to be seen. I feel like we have already gone through a-lot and I am excited about continuing the work.

I have found Zach to be friendly easy to be with, open to my condition and experience and sharing his own in a way that felt supportive and validating. I recommend investigating questions as he does his drumming---I have found it very helpful.
