Dayana Perez
Hi! My name is Dayana but you can call me Day. I am a bilingual licensed marriage and family therapist with 8 years of experience. I enjoy working with millennials, eldest daughters and Gen Z that are transitioning out of high school, college, or experiencing a new stage in life.
First session
The first session is to get to know each other and see if it feels like a good fit. I will ask questions like what brings you in, what would you like to focus on and any historical relevant questions. I also welcome any questions you may have for me.
Strengths
I enjoy using a person-centered approach, with a mix of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused techniques and a dash of humor when appropriate.
Ideal clients
With everything going on in the world, it makes sense that we are all feeling some sort of anxiety or stress - and I am aware that it is a privilege to have a safe space where you can heal, process events in your life and become a healthier version of yourself. If you are looking to learn coping skills, communication techniques, and setting boundaries - I might be a good fit for you.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
This is where we work on reframing and challenging some of the old narratives we may have of ourselves that no longer serve us or are true.
