I am a board-certified Music Therapist and licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 14 years of experience, serving clients across California and Colorado. My own journey informs my work: I grew up in California and built a successful business before transitioning my life to Colorado. I then spent two years as a digital nomad—traveling by car across the US and living abroad for 1.5 years—all while managing and growing my business. I understand how to maintain excellence while in motion, and I use an IFS-informed somatic and creative approach to help you find that same internal groundedness and freedom.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we move beyond just 'talking about' your life to actually experiencing a shift. We’ll create a safe space to get curious about the high-achieving 'parts' of you—the ones that keep you moving and the ones that might be feeling the weight of burnout. As a Music Therapist, I offer creative ways to ground your nervous system right from the start. You can expect to leave our first meeting not just feeling 'heard,' but with a clearer somatic (body-based) understanding of how to begin finding your way back to internal freedom.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My strength lies in blending a decade of clinical expertise with the lived experience of a business owner and global traveler. I specialize in an IFS-informed somatic approach, utilizing Music Therapy and interactive creative experiences to help you bypass the analytical mind. By accessing the body’s wisdom and engaging with your internal 'parts,' I make deep healing relatable, accessible, and even enjoyable. This unique toolkit allows us to process trauma and burnout effectively, whether you are managing a career in California, finding balance in Colorado, or navigating the complexities of life as an expat.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with digital nomads, traveling professionals, and others managing a high impact life who appear 'fine' on the outside but struggle with internal burnout or self-silencing. As a multiracial therapist, I have a personal understanding of what it means to navigate contrasting spaces and the pressure to 'fit in' while maintaining a high level of success. Whether you are navigating the fast-paced life of California, the Colorado outdoors, or life abroad, I help you address the 'inner critic' and find a sense of belonging that starts from within. If you find it hard to feel 'at home' in your own skin—no matter your zip code—I am here to help you find that internal freedom
Experiential Therapy
I utilize a combination of experiential and talk therapy to help you 'Feel it, Face it, and Find Freedom!' As a board-certified Music Therapist, I invite you to use your favorite forms of connection—whether that is music, art, writing, or simply active curiosity. You don’t need to be 'creative' or an artist to benefit from this; we simply use these tools to bypass the analytical mind when words feel stuck. These creative tools make the 'work' of therapy more tangible. Think of it like the film 'K-pop Demon Hunters': it’s a great representation of how we have been taught to try to fight our problematic 'patterns' away, but in therapy, we learn to 'Get In Tune' with these 'demons' and understand them, which ultimately leads to connecting with your more powerful, whole self. For those who are juggling it all, using this creative approach is a powerful 'fast-track' to process emotions in a way that talk therapy alone often can't reach.
Somatic
By integrating somatic and talk therapy, we listen to the wisdom of your body to move beyond what you're 'supposed to feel' to what is authentically true. For high achievers and nomads, the body can feel like a stranger or even a source of stress. We use somatic grounding techniques to help you safely reconnect and identify your needs. My goal is to help you transform your relationship with your physical self, so that your body eventually becomes a reliable, constant 'home'—providing you with clarity and regulation no matter your current zip code.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
I use IFS as a practical framework for internal systems management (think the film 'Inside Out'). Imagine your mind as a high-performing team where different 'parts' have different roles—like the driven 'Manager' who handles your career or the 'Protector' who reacts when you're stressed. Sometimes these parts get into conflict, leading to burnout. This isn’t 'woo-woo'—it’s a structured way to map out your internal drivers and find a steady anchor amidst the demands of your life, career and travel. You’ll learn how to navigate life from a place of greater clarity and perspective, rather than feeling constantly hijacked by stress.
