I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 38 years experience working at a Community Based Organization in multiple roles both as a clinical social worker, program director and supervisor and executive. I work with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting as well as career challenges, in achieving a work-life balance that works for you. I work with adult children who are dealing with aging parents, as well as many older adults who have experienced trauma, including Survivors of the Holocaust and their children. It takes courage to seek help and to take the first step to better understand yourself. if you are ready to take that step, then I look forward to working together.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Realistic expectations are important as you begin your journey in therapy. I will be asking you questions about what is motivating you, why now? It will be an opportunity to get to know one another and if it is a good fit for you, which may not be immediately clear. I look forward to get to know how you are feeling, your strengths, challenges, your relationships, interests and goals.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My therapy style is nurturing, warm, interactive, curious and empathic. I believe in treating each person with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines a client-centered, humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral approach.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am an active listener. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek out help and to take the first step in order to better understand yourself and the changes you may want to make in your life.
