LPCC, 7 years of experience
I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in California with services provided statewide via telehealth. I received my Masters degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and have been practicing for over 7 years. My goal as a therapist is to provide quality and personalized treatment for individuals ready to break through negative emotional and behavioral cycles that get in the way of living a fulfilling life. I am passionate and experienced in the areas of anxiety, depression, and ADHD and I take a trauma-informed approach that integrates CBT and Mindfulness-Based therapy. I am passionate about teaching my clients the techniques and tools that I use in a day to day basis. I use a collaborative and integrative approach since I believe that my clients are the experts in their own lives.
During our first session together, you can expect to spend the majority of our time talking about how you have been recently feeling as I ask questions to better understand why you may be feeling that way. The first session is about us building an initial connection and helping me get a sense of where we should go from there. Each individual is different, and I like to listen first before assuming I know what will work best for my clients moving forward.
I have always been passionate about helping others, which led to my decision to become a therapist. Throughout my experience and training as a therapist, I have personally applied the skills and tools learned and have gained personal and professional growth and insight and the opportunity to heal. I greatly value the tools I teach, and I feel privileged to have the opportunity to assist others with improving their overall quality of life.
I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for adults who have experienced multiple episodes of depression, low mood, anxiety, unhappiness, struggling with ADHD related symptoms and behaviors, and have had traumatic experiences. I work to help my clients build self-awareness and develop skills to break through the vicious cycles of depression and anxiety; while developing a more positive outlook on life.
This process involves practical exercises and reflective techniques that empower you to challenge automatic thoughts and replace them with more balanced and constructive perspectives. By developing these new thinking habits, you can cultivate greater resilience, emotional well-being, and a more positive outlook on life.
Through Mindfulness-Based therapy, I support my clients in developing a stronger awareness of the here and now. My approach encourages them to move away from ruminating on past experiences or feeling anxious about what lies ahead. By integrating mindfulness techniques and grounding practices, we work together to maintain a connection with our bodies and immediate environment, cultivating a greater sense of presence in daily life.
I have also practiced Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for over seven years. My approach centers on helping clients explore and understand their emotional experiences, building stronger connections both within themselves and in their relationships. Through EFT, I guide individuals to recognize underlying emotional patterns and work toward healing, fostering a safe environment for genuine emotional expression and growth.
