Hi, I’m Katelyn, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I know that finding a therapist who feels like the right fit can be challenging, and I’m here to make that process feel a little easier. My style is warm, empathetic, curious, and optimistic. I strive to create a safe space where clients feel validated and supported, while also gently challenging them to make meaningful changes. I’m a thoughtful listener and look forward to supporting you in your growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, I look forward to hearing what has led you to seek therapy at this time. I’ll ask questions to get to know who you are, who you spend time with, what brings you joy, and the life experiences that have shaped you so far. There’s no pressure — you’re welcome to share only what feels comfortable. This first meeting is a chance for us to get to know each other, begin identifying goals for our future work together, and for you to ask any questions you may have about therapy or the therapeutic process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of the biggest strengths in my approach is building a real, trusting relationship with my clients. It’s important to me that you feel safe, understood, and supported, and I do my best to show up in ways that reflect those values. I’m positive, thoughtful, open-minded, and genuinely engaged in the work we do together. Clients often tell me they appreciate how I balance validating their experiences while also gently challenging and motivating them toward meaningful change. If that sounds like what you’re looking for, I’d love for you to schedule a session and see if we’re a good fit.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are teens and adults navigating anxiety, OCD, and life transitions. They may feel stuck in worry, overwhelmed by intrusive thoughts, or unsure about their next steps. They’re open to exploring new perspectives, gently challenging themselves, and practicing self-compassion along the way. I work well with individuals who are motivated for change but may not know where to start — people who want practical tools, a supportive space to be heard, and guidance as they build confidence and resilience.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients recognize unhelpful thought patterns, build coping skills, and make practical changes that support emotional balance and healthier relationships.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Drawing from DBT, I support clients in strengthening emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and communication skills to navigate intense feelings and interpersonal challenges.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

ERP is the most recommended treatment for OCD, and I use it to gently guide clients in facing fears at a manageable pace while reducing anxiety-driven avoidance and compulsions.

Integrative

My integrative approach is like using a thoughtful blend of therapeutic styles — drawing from CBT, DBT, ERP, solution-focused work, and other evidence-based methods to tailor care to each client’s unique needs and goals.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

With a solution-focused approach, I help clients identify strengths, clarify goals, and create small, meaningful steps toward the changes they want to see.
