New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have most of my experience working in inpatient medical settings ranging from ICU, hospice, emergency room, and much more. My goal is to support patients' medical challenges, transitions in life, as well as dealing with chronic medical conditions. I use a variety of modalities working with a diverse clientele depending on their individual needs, including crisis interventions, CBT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and strengths-based interventions
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session I will take some time to ask questions to better understand your background as well as your current concerns. Together, we will work towards creating a goal for you to work towards in therapy.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I think a unique aspect of my approach is that I come from a variety of life experiences that can help relate to my clients and have better understanding of my clients
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with individuals who are going through life transitions, dealing with chronic medical conditions, or struggling with addiction issues, depression, and/or anxiety. I like to work with individuals who are motivated to make a change in their lives and have the potential to see a better outcome for themselves.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT can be very beneficial when dealing with negative thoughts and emotions and to help navigate towards skills to help with those negative thoughts or feelings
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I have used many skills within DBT especially distress tolerance to help cope better with current stressors and conditions
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational interviewing helps me to work with you collaboratively towards your goals
