New to Grow
Hi there! I am a therapist that has worked and lived on the east coast and the west coast utilizing my Florida and California license. I have worked with an array of different populations prior to becoming a therapist as I was actively involved with community health organizations, psychiatric hospitals, foster care facilities, domestic violence group homes, adult day care facilities, and crisis and text lines. Through this array of different experiences, I was given the opportunity to explore a wide array of populations and mental health disorders. I personally lost my Mother and brother to suicide and this has given me further insight into the reality of mental health situations and survival.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session will be a self assessment and historical review of the client in their own words. I utilize a warm and compassionate blend when first meeting my client and thereafter.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I feel that I have a lot of life experience beyond education which makes me unique in this space. Due to the losses I have encountered in my own life, I am especially attuned to those suffering from losses of any kind, and am compelled to soften the anxiety, depression, trauma, and confusion that arises from these events.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I feel that I can positively impact many different kinds of people, but personally have the most experience with anxiety and mood disorders. I am quite skilled at working with those who have encountered trauma in their lives of all levels. I understand the challenges with loss and a support system at any age. I also am skilled at helping those in the throws of major life transitions.
Interpersonal
As an interpersonal therapist, I will map out the clients main relationships. Together with the client we will select specific areas to focus on, and use role-playing, communication analysis, decision analysis, and visual tools.
