I have been in therapy practice for over 20 years and received my master's at California State University Long Beach. I became a licensed clinical social worker in 2009 and have been privileged to work with people from various age groups, socioeconomic statuses, cultures, ethnicities, and abilities. Adversity and loss have been one of my best teachers and have made me the therapist that I am today. I have extensive experience working with adults, children, and adolescents to provide individual therapy and crisis management. I have also had over ten years of providing onsite emotional support and psychological first aid to employees during the aftermath of a traumatic event. I have provided consulting and post-incident intervention services to various organizations, including HBO, Nickelodeon, American Apparel, Los Angeles Unified School District, Department of Public Social Services, Department of Children and Family Services, Glendale Police Department, and Los Angeles Police Department. I am currently working for ALLHEALTH and I provide consultation and post-incident interventions to several private agencies. Please reach out if you have any further questions or if you would like to make an appointment. I look forward to meeting you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will do brief introductions and find out what is brining you to therapy and what you would like to accomplish during our sessions. The relationship between the client and therapist is an integral piece to the therapeutic process therefore, the first session is a time for us to determine if we are a good fit for eachother.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I know you’re not looking for a therapist who’s had a perfect life (in fact, you might not like the word therapist at all—I get it!), but someone who can relate to your struggles and speak from a place of understanding. That’s why I share my story—so you know you’re not alone, and there is hope. No matter how we work together, you’ll find new ideas in a refreshingly honest environment.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with people of all ages and have a special passion for teenagers and young adults.

My treatment methods

Compassion Focused

I have been a compassion focused therapist for over 10 years. Research suggests that compassion practice can act as a buffer against the harmful effects of trauma and shame. Together, we will help recognize what compassion feels like and becoming better at practicing it. Towards ourselves and to others.
