I provide a supportive, collaborative space for individuals seeking meaningful and lasting change. I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming and I want to acknowledge the courage it takes to take that first step. My approach is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and respect, with a strong belief that each person has the capacity for growth when given the right environment and tools. I take an integrative approach to treatment, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and person-centered principles. This allows me to tailor each session to your unique needs, balancing emotional support with practical strategies you can use in your daily life. Together, we will explore patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while identifying clear, achievable steps toward your goals and creating space to re-author personal narratives and foster lasting change. I work well with both teens and adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or stuck, particularly those navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma, complex relationships, or major life transitions. Many of my clients are highly capable but struggling with burnout, boundary-setting, or feeling pulled in multiple directions. I also provide an affirming, inclusive, and judgment-free space for individuals within the LGBTQ community to explore identity, relationships, and life experiences safely and authentically. My goal is to help you feel more in control, more aligned with your values, and better equipped to handle life’s challenges. Therapy with me is both a place to be understood and a place to grow. I welcome you to reach out for a consultation so we can explore how I can support you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

You can expect the first session with me to feel welcoming, supportive, and collaborative. I understand that starting therapy can come with uncertainty or anxiety, so I focus on creating a space where you can feel comfortable, heard, and not judged from the very beginning. In our first session, I will spend time getting to know you, what’s bringing you to therapy, what’s been going on in your life, and what you’re hoping might be different. You can share as much or as little as you feel ready to; there’s no pressure to have everything figured out. I may ask questions to better understand your experiences, history, and current challenges, but this is a conversation, not an interrogation. The first session is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of me, my style, how I work, and whether it feels like a good fit. You’re encouraged to ask questions about the process, expectations, or anything else on your mind.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a clinician is my ability to balance genuine human connection with practical, results-oriented therapy. I intentionally integrate both insight and tools in a way that feels collaborative, grounded, and effective. I strive to create a space that feels safe, nonjudgmental, and authentic. A space where one can show up fully without feeling pathologized or rushed. At the same time, I provide structure and direction in therapy by integrating strategies to help clients move beyond just understanding their challenges to actually doing something about them. Another meaningful part of my work is with individuals in the LGBTQ community. I believe this work is especially important because many clients have had experiences of misunderstanding, invalidation, or needing to conceal parts of themselves in other areas of their lives, including, at times, in healthcare settings. I am committed to providing an affirming, inclusive space where clients can explore identity, relationships, and life experiences without fear of judgment or having to educate the therapist. Beyond affirmation, I support clients in navigating minority stress, family dynamics, coming out processes, and the integration of identity into a full and authentic life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work well with both teens and adults who are motivated for change, even if they feel stuck or unsure how to move forward. I offer a therapeutic space that is supportive, collaborative, and nonjudgmental, while also providing structure, guidance, and practical tools for change. Many of my clients are navigating high levels of responsibility, such as caregiving roles, demanding careers, or complex family dynamics, and may struggle with boundary-setting, people-pleasing, or feeling pulled in too many directions. I also work with individuals within the LGBTQ+ community, providing an affirming and inclusive space to explore identity, relationships, and life experiences without fear of judgment. Clients I work best with are open to exploring how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact, and are willing to challenge unhelpful patterns, develop goals and take small, meaningful steps toward progress.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a core treatment approach in my practice, helping clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, emotional responses, and behaviors that contribute to distress.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is another method I incorporate as a treatment approach in my practice, helping clients identify their strengths, clarify goals, and focus on practical steps toward meaningful change. Rather than staying stuck in problems, we work collaboratively to explore what’s already working and how to build on it.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I utilize a person-centered approach as a foundation of my work, creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted. I prioritize empathy, authenticity, and collaboration, trusting that clients have the capacity for growth when given the right environment. For example, in session I may reflect and deepen a client’s emotional experience, helping them gain clarity and insight while feeling supported rather than directed.

Eclectic

I utilize an eclectic approach in my practice, tailoring treatment to meet each client’s unique needs, goals, and preferences rather than relying on a single method. This allows me to draw from a range of evidence-based approaches to provide care that is both flexible and effective. For example, in a single session we might explore a client’s emotional experience through a supportive, person-centered lens, identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and then shift toward solution-focused strategies to develop practical, goal-oriented steps for change.
