LP, 15 years of experience
New to Grow
I’m Dr. Beth Meyer-Bulley, a licensed psychologist with over 15 years of clinical experience. I specialize in helping adults navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, fertility concerns, parenthood, and major life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based strategies. I strive to create a supportive space where clients feel understood while gaining practical tools to create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
In our first session, my goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where you feel comfortable sharing what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, and what you hope to gain from our work together. This helps me get a fuller picture of your experiences and the challenges you’re facing. You don’t need to prepare or know exactly what to say; we’ll go at your pace, and it’s okay if you’re not sure where to start. I’ll also explain how therapy works, answer any questions, and begin discussing what goals feel most important to you. By the end of our session, you can expect to feel heard, understood, and to have a sense of the direction we might take moving forward. Together, we’ll begin building a plan that feels manageable, supportive, and tailored to your unique needs.
What sets my approach apart is the balance of warmth, insight, and practical strategies. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. I tailor our work to your unique needs, drawing from evidence-based methods like CBT, ACT, and trauma-informed care. My style is collaborative and compassionate but also gently direct, helping you gain clarity while building tools you can use right away in daily life. I emphasize both understanding the “why” behind patterns and developing concrete steps for meaningful change. Many clients tell me they leave sessions feeling both supported and equipped, with a clearer sense of direction and confidence to handle challenges. I also bring specialized expertise in reproductive and perinatal mental health, grief, and life transitions, which allows me to meet clients at some of the most tender and pivotal moments in their lives. My goal is to help you not just reduce distress, but move toward a more grounded, authentic, and fulfilling life.
I work best with adults who find themselves at a crossroads, navigating life transitions, relationships, parenthood, or identity shifts that feel overwhelming. Many of my clients come in carrying anxiety, sadness, or grief, feeling weighed down by expectations and uncertain of the way forward. Some are struggling with infertility, pregnancy, postpartum changes, or loss; others are navigating divorce, career changes, or challenges in self-worth and connection. My clients are thoughtful, motivated individuals who may feel “stuck” but are ready to explore new perspectives and tools. They often want more than just insight, they want practical strategies to reduce distress and to feel more grounded in daily life. Whether it’s learning to manage racing thoughts, easing the grip of perfectionism, or reconnecting with values and strengths, I support clients in creating meaningful change. My goal is to walk alongside you as you build clarity, confidence, and resilience to live more fully and authentically.
In my practice, I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build psychological flexibility. I guide them in noticing and accepting difficult thoughts and feelings rather than struggling against them, while clarifying what truly matters to them. Together, we use mindfulness-based strategies, values exploration, and committed action to support meaningful change, helping clients move toward lives that feel more authentic and aligned with their core values.
In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We work together to identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge them with evidence-based strategies, and practice new ways of responding. This structured, skills-based approach empowers clients to reduce distress, build healthier coping strategies, and make meaningful changes in their daily lives.
In my practice, I use a trauma-informed approach that recognizes the impact of past experiences on current well-being. I prioritize creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where clients feel respected and in control of their healing process. This includes being sensitive to triggers, building trust, and focusing on strengths while integrating evidence-based strategies to support recovery and resilience.
In my practice, I provide culturally sensitive therapy by creating a space where clients’ unique identities, backgrounds, and experiences are respected and valued. I integrate an awareness of cultural, social, and systemic factors into treatment, recognizing how these shape a person’s worldview, stressors, and strengths. My goal is to collaborate in a way that honors each client’s lived experience and supports healing that feels authentic and relevant to them.
IIn my practice, I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients identify their strengths and build practical steps toward their goals. Rather than focusing heavily on problems, we work together to highlight what’s already working and explore small, achievable changes that create momentum. This approach is collaborative, future-oriented, and designed to help clients make meaningful progress in a short period of time.
