I'm a Licensed Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. I received my Master's from the University of Southern California. I have provided mental health services for 16 years, helping clients with a wild range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, psychosis, grief/loss, chronic illness, postpartum, problematic relationships, behavioral issues, personality traits and life/career transitions in diverse populations of adults. Given my experience, I have developed a therapeutic approach based on clients' needs. I combine evidence-based interventions with cognitive and psychodynamic therapies. I provide a supportive environment where clients openly and safely express their experiences, emotions, and thoughts with acceptance and non-judgment.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My first sessions encourage clients to express their problems and issues in a secure non-judgemental setting, which leads to my plan for designing future therapy sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked 16 years with diverse group of clients with a wide range of mental health issues. My experience, strong empathy, and ability to connect and relate to my clients has led to a strong record of success and satisfaction expressed by my clients.

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

I help clients to explore their past experiences, early relationships, and subconscious thoughts and emotions to gain insight into their current challenges and patterns of behavior. The therapeutic relationship is a crucial aspect of this approach, as it provides a safe space for clients to explore their inner world and work through unresolved issues. The goals of psychodynamic therapy typically include increasing self-awareness, understanding how past experiences shape present behavior, and developing healthier coping mechanisms and interpersonal skills. It can be used to address a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and personality disorders. The specific techniques and approaches I use in psychodynamic therapy may vary depending on the the individual client's needs. Sessions often involve open-ended discussions, free association (allowing clients to speak freely about their thoughts and feelings), and exploration of dreams and fantasies. The therapy can be long-term or short-term, depending on the client's goals and the nature of their concerns.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I play an active role in helping clients identify and change maladaptive thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to psychological distress. CBT is a structured, time-limited therapy approach that is effective for a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, and phobias. CBT therapy focuses on problem-solving and skill-building. It is designed to help individuals acquire the tools they need to manage their symptoms and improve their mental health. The therapist's role is to guide, support, and empower clients in this process of self-discovery and change.

Grief Therapy

I play a crucial role in helping individuals come to terms with their loss, adjust to life without their loved one, and ultimately find ways to move forward while honoring the memory of what has been lost. My support is valuable in helping individuals cope with the profound emotional and psychological impact of grief.

Supportive

I use supportive therapy for individuals dealing with situational stress, grief, adjustment issues, or mild to moderate emotional difficulties. It is not as deep or intensive as some other forms of psychotherapy, but it can be highly beneficial for those who need a compassionate and understanding presence to help them through difficult times or life transitions. My role is to facilitate personal growth, emotional healing, and improved well-being through support and guidance.

Psychoeducation

I combine elements of education and counseling to help individuals better understand and manage mental health conditions, emotions, and behaviors. I provide clients with information, tools, and resources to enhance their knowledge and self-awareness.
