Hi! I'm Kristina, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. I received my Masters from the University of Southern California (USC) and have been practicing for 8 years. I help individuals navigate the challenges of anxiety, sleep, wellness and balance through life transitions. I have specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), CBT for Insomnia, pediatric sleep consultation, and maternal mental health.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together we will spend time getting to know you a little better. The beginning of treatment is all about getting on the same page and feeling like I know you so that I can really help you. We will talk about why you are seeking therapy and what you want to get out of your time with me.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of the biggest strengths I have as a provider is that clients walk away from treatment with me feeling confident that they can navigate big challenges on their own. They walk away with a whole new set of tools and skills and they do not feel like their time was wasted just talking to a friend. Treatment with me feels like treatment with real results at the end.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help you piece apart your thoughts, emotions and behaviors and learn new skills in the areas that are the most challenging for you.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i)

I use CBT-I to help not only people that have been diagnosed with insomnia, but also for people that are just having trouble sleeping or have a difficult time being consistent with a good nights sleep. After treatment, my clients feel more rested, more in control of their time and have more energy for the things they want to do.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use the skills from DBT to help people with anxiety and other mood disorders build up the tools and skills they need to be able to navigate the challenges that life throws at you.

Gottman method

I use the Gottman method to help you understand your relationship and your partner more, give you structure around conversations and ways to build in your connection so that you feel like you are in a supportive and healthy relationship.
