New clients continue care with this provider

I am a Bilingual Marriage, Child and Family therapist with 10 years of experience. I help individuals and families work through difficult challenges and guide them through a healing journey in which they set the destination. I enjoy and pride myself in working with individuals and families of various backgrounds. I particularly enjoy working with individuals who are complex and strive to reach their full potential.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

It's the ultimate meet and greet. We will get to know eachother and work towards building a strong professional alliance. We will discuss your life experiences and previous therapy experiences (if any), as well as your expectations of therapy. If you decide to embark on a healing journey with me by your side I will discuss my approach and answer any questions that can make you feel assured that you have chosen the right person.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am a person who prides herself in being sincere, caring and a true empath. I place your goals and readiness for change as priority. You set the pace and your feedback gives me the right sense of where to go next. I hold myself to the highest standards as I believe all of my clients deserve nothing less than the best care there is.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Over the past 10 years I have worked with individuals and families that have experienced trauma and serious mental illness. I have a Masters in Marriage, Child and Family Therapy and I am certified as an Addiction Treatment specialist. I specialize in Trauma focused treatment and helping individuals heal from "emotional stuck points" that hinder their ability to reach their full potential.

My treatment methods

EMDR

Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a mental health treatment technique. This method involves moving your eyes a specific way while you process traumatic memories to promote healing.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a form of psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems. It targets unhealthy thought patterns to promote healing.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

The main goal of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is to strike a balance between validation (acceptance) of who you are and your challenges and the benefits of change. You will learn new skills to improve emotion regulation and overcome emotional blockages.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing is a counselling method that involves enhancing a patient's motivation to change by being in tune with your client's motivation for change and working in collaboration.

Psychodynamic

This approach explains personality in terms of unconscious psychological processes (for example, wishes and fears of which we're not fully aware), and contends that childhood experiences are crucial in shaping adult personality and behaviors.
