It an honor for me to support my clients as they manage their challenges on the path to establishing a life that brings them happiness, meaning, and joy. After a successful career in the business world, (both working for large corporations and managing my own business), I earned a doctorate degree in clinical psychology so that I could use my life experience and my clinical training to help people live their best lives, whether that is overcoming psychological issues like depression or anxiety, striving to maximize their potential, or just enjoying a peaceful work life balance with their loved ones.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session is designed so that we can get to know each other and start the process of building a comfortable and trusting relationship where you can discuss whatever is on your mind knowing that it will be held in strict confidence. I will seek to understand your concerns including current struggles, goals, and what you hope to achieve. I will start the process of gathering background information and you are welcome to ask questions about the therapy process or anything else that you feel will be beneficial.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

For me, becoming a clinical psychologist has been a calling, and not just a career. It has been an honor for me to support my clients as they overcome their challenges and transform their lives. I feel blessed to witness their journeys. In addition to working with clients from many backgrounds for over twenty years, I have also taught graduate level classes at several colleges, worked at a variety of mental health clinics, and trained many other therapists. Along with my clinical training and experience, I am able to draw on many years of real life experience from my prior career in the business world.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

I have been using an eclectic approach to therapy for over 20 years, and my clients consistently benefit from this flexible and integrative method that draws on techniques and principles from various therapeutic models to best address the individual needs of each specific client. Rather than adhering strictly to one specific therapeutic framework, I combine elements from different theories and practices based on what seems most effective for a particular client’s issues and goals. For example, I may use psychodynamic therapy to explore underlying emotional issues and then add cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to address unwanted behaviors or negative thought patterns that may be contributing to depression or anxiety. The combination depends on the client's goals for therapy and the issues being addressed.
