I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Los Angeles, CA. I have over a decade of experience working with individuals with severe trauma histories - including those impacted by incarceration and those experiencing homelessness. I specialize in working with individuals with childhood trauma, which can manifest in adulthood in a myriad of ways. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, addiction and PTSD.
In our first session together, I will take some time to get to know you and then we will begin to explore the challenges you're facing and what you would like to get out of therapy.
Having worked with adults with a myriad of mental health issues, and having devoted most of my career to working with traumatized and marginalized populations, I excel at creating an environment of safety, accountability and trust.
I enjoy working with clients who would like to explore how their childhood experiences have shaped their thoughts, beliefs, behaviors, emotions and felt sensations. I am best positioned to serve clients who are eager to go deep - to get at the root of whatever is keeping them stuck, and to gently explore and release it.

While not a specific treatment modality, trauma-informed care is a central tenet of all my work with clients. I have over 10 years of experience providing services within this framework, including with severely traumatized populations - people who are incarcerated and their family members, and people who are experiencing homelessness. Recognizing that everyone is impacted by trauma, and that virtually all mental health conditions have their roots in it, I prioritize creating safety, building trust, and engaging in collaborative relationships with the individuals I serve. From this foundation, we can work together to explore past traumas and how they are impacting your current functioning.
Somatic (i.e., embodied) approaches are central to the work I do with clients, as so much of what happens to us affects us on a subconscious level. Our bodies not only store our traumatic experiences - resulting in stuck energy that needs to be expressed - they have an innate wisdom and capacity to heal. My approach includes utilizing somatic methods to support the processing of trauma and to help clients achieve well-being.
Life happens in the present moment - it is the only moment that exists. So much suffering results from reliving the past and/or anticipating the future. Safety and well-being can often be achieved, even if momentarily, simply by experiencing what is. For these reasons, I utilize mindfulness techniques to help my clients get into the present moment - to experience what is true for them now.
