In my practice, I utilize a combination of strength- based models which work towards uncovering your unique gifts and strengths to support healing. My work is informed by evidence based treatment including Somatic therapies, Mindfulness, Art therapy, Attachment theory and Cognitive Behavioral therapy.
I utilize creative expression as a way to approach issues such as substance abuse, PTSD, anxiety, depression or relationship issues. Creativity offers an indirect way to approach challenges, it helps someone to gain a sense of power. In a session, I use creative expression in an organic way, it can be integrated into discussions, or it can involve creative expression such as role play, drawing, movement etc.. I specialize in working with adults and children who have experienced various forms of trauma, PTSD, sexual trauma, substance abuse, high conflict relationships, adolescents and young adults.
