My approach to therapy is to help each client adapt and grow from life's circumstances. I seek to help my clients thrive within their community and experience a grounded and vital sense of connectedness to self and all others. I utilize a holistic approach that embraces one's intersections and addresses mental, emotional, and somatic (bodily) experiences.
In our first session we'll start with a brief introduction and dive right into the specific challenges you are facing currently. I also like to use this appointment to draw out strengths, resources, and supports that you have that can be leveraged to help increase your well-being.
I am warm, compassionate, and empathetic. Throughout my career, I have always worked with diverse populations. I work to do my work with both a beginner's mind, treating each client as the expert in their own experience, while also bringing my experience and expertise to offer new perspective and tools to help my client's process, grow, and thrive.
My background and area of most success has been helping client working through anxiety, depression, adjustment to life changes, and trauma responses.
I have found IFS to be extremely beneficial, more so than just talk therapy alone, in helping client's progress faster, more effectively, and with longer lasting change and improvement.
