I’m a California-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals who feel emotionally disconnected, culturally displaced, or quietly out of step with the world around them. I hold an MA in Psychology with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy from Phillips Graduate Institute in Los Angeles and am certified in psychoanalytic psychotherapy through the New Center for Psychoanalysis. This foundation in depth psychology informs my approach to work and the therapeutic relationship.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, I’ll ask you to share a bit about what brings you to therapy, what feels difficult, confusing, or unresolved. I’ll also ask some practical questions about your personal, medical, and family history to get a fuller sense of your context and what might support your work going forward. We’ll talk through the structure of therapy, including my style, policies, and what the process may look like, so that we’re clear on how we’ll work together. Once we’ve established that foundation, we’ll begin to explore the concerns that brought you here.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Cultural competence is one of my strongest areas of expertise. In my professional career, I have worked a lot with new immigrants and those who have lived in the country for many years. As a first-generation immigrant, I know the difficulty of adjusting to a different culture. If you are an immigrant, you can count on my full support and ability to relate to any cultural adaptability issues you may have experienced. I don’t approach therapy as a set of tools to fix what’s broken. I see it as a relational space where clarity emerges through thoughtful, honest exploration. My orientation is psychodynamic and insight-based, drawing from Jungian and existential traditions. I often work with those who feel emotionally or culturally out of place or people who long for connection but refuse to compromise depth or integrity to find it. This work isn’t about quick solutions. It’s about discovering how your sense of self has been shaped, interrupted, or overlooked – and how it might be reclaimed in a way that feels true. If my approach sounds like a good fit for you, I look forward to working with you!

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

While I welcome clients from all backgrounds, I’m especially attuned to: Immigrants who feel culturally displaced Individuals living with chronic emotional loneliness Those who seek meaningful connection without self-erasure People who feel politically or socially silenced in their communities My work supports those navigating identity, belonging, emotional honesty, and inner transformation through a process that values both psychological insight and personal responsibility.

My treatment methods

Existential

Existential perspective honors your individual sovereignty and capacity for choice. Together, we examine not only what has shaped your experience, but how you can consciously engage with your freedom and responsibility in creating meaning from your circumstances.

Jungian

Through a Jungian analytical approach, we explore not just the symptoms of loneliness but its deeper meaning in your life’s story. This work draws from the understanding that our psyche holds profound wisdom about our authentic path, even within our suffering.
