Hello! My name is Gabriella and I am a queer and multi-ethnic Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My work is centered on the belief that healing happens in community and that we each have the capacity to thrive when in supportive and uplifting environments. I am a trauma-informed and focused therapist, meaning that I aim to acknowledge and explore the ways that traumatic experiences have impacted my clients, all while focusing on the strengths, wisdom and resources each client possesses.
In our first session together, a client can expect for me to introduce myself, my role and provide psycho-education on the therapeutic process. I will be assessing various aspects of your life (mainly in area of family upbringing, history with therapy, medical/medication and culture). We will discuss what your goals are for therapy and what you hope to "get out of therapy."
I believe in the power of generational strength, wisdom and guidance. I am passionate about supporting others in the healing the wounds of intergenerational trauma caused by racism, sexism, classism, homophobia, transphobia and colonial exploitation.
I love working with people who are passionate about their healing process and need someone with an empathetic, warm and non-judgmental approach. I find that I work best with people who are open to somatic healing methods (such as EMDR, EFT and mindfulness) and are BIPOC, queer, neurodivergent, highly sensitive and/or survivors of childhood trauma.

Not only is Ms. Cuaderes kind and direct, but she also makes the therapy process go smoothly and helps open the door in my mind to heal trauma. I am very grateful to have met her.

Gabriella is amazing. She's a great listener, very easy to talk to, hilarious, kind, understanding, empathetic, and has great insights. I was really sad to lose my previous therapist and worried I wouldn't find someone else who fit as well, but I've been seeing Gabriella for almost 2 years now, and I feel like my previous therapist switching out of my network is the best thing that could've happened.

An exciting start to a new journey.
I aim to practice cultural humility, always being a learner of my client's specific experiences within the context of their cultural upbringing and chosen cultural practices.
I began training in EMDR in 2020. I am now an EMDR certified therapist.
I will honor the gender you tell me you are. I will respect your inherent dignity as a person.
I acknowledge that each of us have experienced frightening, hurtful and damaging experiences. I take this into consideration when working with people. I assume that trust needs to be built with a client. I aim to stay attuned to my clients to be aware of ways trauma shows up in their body.
