Hello, and welcome! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 15 years of experience in medical social work, and I’m now bringing that deep, compassionate care into private practice. Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with individuals and families navigating some of life’s most challenging moments—chronic illness, hospitalization, loss, and major life transitions. My background in healthcare has given me a unique perspective on the connection between physical and emotional well-being. I understand how medical issues can impact mental health, relationships, and overall quality of life. I’ve supported patients and families through grief, anxiety, depression, caregiving stress, and adjustment to new diagnoses, and I bring that same thoughtful approach to therapy. When working with clients, I offer a warm, collaborative space where you can explore your experiences, build resilience, and move toward healing. Whether you’re coping with health-related stress, life transitions, or seeking greater emotional balance, I’m here to walk with you at your pace. Starting therapy can feel like a big step. I aim to make that step feel grounded, safe, and supportive.

Hey, I'm Olivia! Are you ready to laugh, cry and create a connection with someone who is not going to give you cookie-cutter responses? Then keep reading. I am passionate about creating a safe space for my clients to throw it all out on the table, be met with compassion and validation and begin to piece together what they want to keep and what they want to toss. Many times in our lives, we put on certain identities and expectations that may not be ours but we keep them on out of comfort, fear, habit, you name it. I am here to help you sift through the pieces of you that you know but also become curious about the parts of yourself that you do not know. During that process, you can begin to find power in your choices and practice the art of being able to decide for yourself who it is you want to be. The stories you have come to believe about yourself are worth exploring and together, we can build a relationship where I will challenge those beliefs with you and assist you in building confidence to shift into your most authentic and understood self.

Hi there, I’m Michelle, Have you not felt like yourself lately? Are you struggling to find that happy, healthy, hopeful place in life? Whether it be from relationships, personal, or just life, sometimes we can just feel overwhelmed and out of sync with who we were or who we would like to become. I am here to help facilitate that change. Together we can target the obstacles in your life and make a plan of action to put you on the right path. By using an integrative approach with effective therapeutic modalities we focus on the whole being to get you in balance. My style is eclectic utilizing an empathetic position to build rapport while empowering you to become the stronger happier version of self. I combine affirmations and metaphoric narrative to separate you from the problem, allowing you to externalize the issues rather than internalize them. I will meet you right where you are and provide a safe place for you to thrive and move forward. “If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” ~Martin Luther King Jr.

I believe we're endlessly creative and resourceful as human beings — we have to be, if we're going to keep showing up in a world that includes real suffering. Over the years, we all find ways to cope. Some are healthy and sustaining. Others work for a while, until they don't — because life stretches us past our limits, or because some part of us simply isn't willing to keep silencing our own voice, harming ourselves, or staying in relationships and patterns that no longer serve us. That's often where the real work begins: building a deeper relationship with yourself — one rooted in awareness, trust, and self-respect, rather than the inner critic that so many of us carry. I'm Gwendolyn, and my work centers on helping people reconnect with themselves and understand their own inner world (and the people in it). I often work with clients navigating grief, trauma, life transitions, and the impact of addiction — whether their own or that of someone close to them. Together, we'll work on quieting the inner critic, learning to trust yourself again, and supporting your nervous system so that calm feels more accessible. I also believe healing doesn't only happen through talk — creativity, nature connection, self-expression, and spiritual practices are often just as vital to the process, and I welcome them into our work together.

I began practicing as a therapist and psychologist in 2012 after graduating from the Higher School of Psychology in Moscow, Russia. Since then, I have had the privilege of working with diverse clients across different clinical settings and cultural environments. After relocating to the United States, I chose to continue my professional path as a Marriage and Family Therapist, bringing with me approximately 12 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through emotional, relational, and life-transition challenges. Before entering the mental health field, I spent more than 30 years working as a legal professional in consulting, corporate law, and finance. While these professions may seem quite different, both have deepened my understanding of people, relationships, decision-making, conflict, resilience, and the many ways life circumstances can shape our experiences. Working across different professional, family, organizational, and cultural systems has given me a broad perspective on the challenges people face and the strengths they draw upon to adapt, grow, and find meaning in their lives. Altogether, my professional experience spans nearly four decades across different countries, cultures, populations, and work environments. This diverse background enriches my work as a therapist and allows me to bring a thoughtful, practical, and culturally sensitive perspective to the therapeutic process. I understand that every person's story is unique, and I strive to create a space where clients feel respected, understood, and supported as they navigate life's challenges and opportunities for growth. Perhaps most importantly, I genuinely value the work I do. Being a mental health professional is more than a career for me—it is a source of purpose, meaning, and connection. I feel grateful for the opportunity to accompany people on their journey toward greater self-understanding, healing, and fulfillment, and I consider it a privilege to be entrusted with that process.

Many of my clients are women who appear strong on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally exhausted on the inside. You may be struggling with high-functioning depression, relationship anxiety, or the pressure to hold everything together while quietly feeling stuck or burned out. Therapy can be a place where you don’t have to be the strong one, where you can slow down, understand yourself, and start to feel relief. I specialize in working with women navigating eating disorders, trauma, caregiver burnout, and the lasting impact of difficult family relationships. Many of my clients are adult daughters of emotionally complicated or challenging parents who are learning to set boundaries, heal old wounds, and break patterns that no longer serve them. I also work with clients who struggle with relationship anxiety, self-doubt, and feeling “not good enough” despite being capable and successful. My approach is warm, supportive, and practical. Together we work to understand patterns, reduce anxiety, and build tools you can use in everyday life. Clients often tell me they appreciate having a therapist who is both compassionate and honest, and who helps them make real progress, not just talk about problems. Therapy with me is a space where you can be fully yourself while working toward meaningful change. Whether you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready to grow, we will move at a pace that feels safe and supportive.

I’m Dr. Claudia Nuñez a licensed clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience supporting adults through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and major life transitions. I believe therapy is not about reliving pain for its own sake. It is about understanding what your suffering has been signaling and bringing that understanding into the present so you can live with more clarity, self-compassion, and choice. Many of the people I work with feel caught in anxiety and overthinking, people pleasing, guilt, burnout, or a deep sense that something needs to change but they cannot quite name what. Others are moving through grief or life transitions that have shaken their identity, relationships, or sense of direction. Some are navigating a spiritual calling or values shift, and feeling both pulled toward meaning and exhausted by the weight of it all. My approach is integrative, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and grounded in Internal Family Systems and liberation psychology. Rather than viewing symptoms or recurring patterns as personal flaws, we explore them with curiosity and consider how they may have been shaped by your history, relationships, culture, environment, and ways of adapting. Together, we identify what is no longer serving you, clarify what you need now, and develop responses that feel more intentional, sustainable, and aligned with your values. Alongside talk therapy, I may incorporate mindfulness, somatic awareness, narrative exploration, and evidence-informed cognitive and behavioral strategies. Grounding and breath practices are offered collaboratively and adapted to your comfort—not to bypass pain or minimize the realities around you, but to help you remain present and build greater capacity for choice. My style is warm, honest, and collaborative. We move at a pace that respects your boundaries while supporting meaningful reflection and change.

I treat the whole person to maximize growth. Do you feel like your 'fight-or-flight' response is stuck on high? I specialize in helping clients understand the unique wiring of ADHD, depressed, and anxious brains. By exploring the science of why you feel so restless, unmotivated, or overwhelmed, we can separate your worth from your symptoms. My goal is to help you stop fighting your brain and start working with it, using evidence-based techniques that actually click for your unique mind. Therapy shouldn't be another place where you have to perform. In our sessions, fidgeting is encouraged, eye contact is optional, and your unique way of processing the world is celebrated, not 'fixed.' I provide a warm, non-judgmental space for adults with ADHD and anxiety to unmask and find balance. Together, we’ll focus on your strengths to help you navigate a world that wasn't exactly built for minds like yours. If you're tired of feeling like your brain is a browser with 50 tabs open, you’re in the right place. I help individuals with ADHD, PTSD, depression and anxiety and more move from 'overwhelmed' to 'organized' by building practical toolkits for time management and focus. We won't just talk about your challenges, we'll actively troubleshoot the obstacles keeping you stuck so you can feel more in control of your day-to-day life.

Hi, my name is Angelina Marquez. I grew up on the central coast of California and have two beautiful children. I know life sometimes throws us unexpected challenges that can make us feel overwhelmed, anxious, and hopeless. If you are struggling with life challenges that are impacting your quality of life, I am here to tell you there is hope. Loss is often one of our biggest life challenges that trigger mental health issues. Grief is a natural response to loss, whether that is a loss of a relationship, job, or death of a loved one, it can also bring up thoughts and feelings of past traumas. Processing and learning about loss and grief and what to expect when grieving can help you grow and heal. I graduated from California State University Monterey Bay in 2012 with a Bachelors's in Collaborative Health and Human Services. I went on to work in several different counseling and behavioral health specialist positions until I graduated with a master's in social work in 2018. I have training in various therapeutic modalities and am a certified grief-informed professional. I not only have my own life experiences that brought me to this work; I also have over 10 years of experience working with diverse populations, such as children, adolescents, adults, and families with a variety of needs.

I am a psychologist and offer services via telehealth for individuals. Problems come from a network of experiences. In our work together, we will investigate these problems: where they come from, how they are supported, what they may be telling you, how you learned from these problems, ways they can be negotiated, and times when they are not present. Nothing is wrong with you. You are simply dealing with problems the best way you know how. As we explore the problems, you will find fresh perspectives and build alternative ways of responding that enable you to build better relationships and handle problems with increased flexibility. I am an interactive therapist working with you to develop and experience more confidence, focus, and motivation to meet life’s changing demands. I help people who are doing ok on the outside figure out, and understand, why they might feel so overwhelmed on the inside. You can gain insight and clarity and increase your ability to navigate life transitions, anxiety, fear, depression, and/or traumatic experiences that have impacted your quality of life.

Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in California. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across California from San Francisco to San Diego! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in California.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Women's Issues, is filtering therapists in California that work with patients with similar concerns.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
