Hi, I’m so glad you’re here. Reaching out for support—whether for yourself or your child—can feel overwhelming. My hope is that from the very first conversation, you feel heard, understood, and not alone. For more than 12 years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting adolescents, women, and families as they navigate some of life’s most tender and challenging seasons. I specialize in adolescent mental health and maternal mental health, working with teens facing stress, school pressure, anger, friendship struggles, and identity development, as well as women moving through pregnancy, postpartum changes, motherhood transitions, and shifting family roles. The teenage years and the journey into motherhood both bring profound change. They can be beautiful—and also exhausting, confusing, and isolating. I strive to create a space where clients can show up exactly as they are: overwhelmed, uncertain, frustrated, hopeful, or all of the above. You don’t have to have the “right words.” You just have to show up. Before becoming a counselor, I spent many years as a Division I athlete and coach. Those experiences gave me a deep understanding of pressure, performance expectations, resilience, and what it feels like to carry the weight of high standards—whether they come from others or from within. I connect especially well with teens who are driven, competitive, sensitive, or feel misunderstood, and with mothers who are juggling more than anyone sees. I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Riverside, my master’s degree from the University at Buffalo in New York, and completed my counseling credential at California State University, San Bernardino. While my education provided the clinical tools to do this work, the greatest lessons have come from the adolescents and mothers who have trusted me with their stories.

I am a licensed therapist (LMFT #140975, LPCC #17040), Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and Certified Brain Injury Specialist. I believe healing can take place when all parts of the self are welcome to sit at the table. As a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, I help clients understand and work directly with their nervous system, building resilience and a felt sense of safety that supports deeper emotional and relational work. This approach can help people dealing with a variety of things such as relationships, complex trauma, PTSD, ADHD, mild to moderate Traumatic Brain Injury, life transitions, optimization of strengths, increasing tolerance for ease/presence, chronic stress, self-image concerns, anxiety, depression, pain management, and more. I also bring a deep understanding of brain-based differences, including the impacts of trauma and cognitive diversity on the sense of self and relationships. I approach this with a strengths-based, neuro-affirming lens. Rather than viewing individual differences as deficits or damage, I honor the adaptive intelligence of the brain and the ways it reorganizes in response to experience. My goal is not to “fix" neurodivergence, but to help individuals build self-understanding and make space for changes that are important to them. My work is marked by the integration of mind and body. Therapy with me is not about eliminating parts of you. It is about helping all parts feel heard, understood, and organized in a way that allows you to move forward with greater clarity and an embodied sense of peace.

Hey, I'm Olivia! Are you ready to laugh, cry and create a connection with someone who is not going to give you cookie-cutter responses? Then keep reading. I am passionate about creating a safe space for my clients to throw it all out on the table, be met with compassion and validation and begin to piece together what they want to keep and what they want to toss. Many times in our lives, we put on certain identities and expectations that may not be ours but we keep them on out of comfort, fear, habit, you name it. I am here to help you sift through the pieces of you that you know but also become curious about the parts of yourself that you do not know. During that process, you can begin to find power in your choices and practice the art of being able to decide for yourself who it is you want to be. The stories you have come to believe about yourself are worth exploring and together, we can build a relationship where I will challenge those beliefs with you and assist you in building confidence to shift into your most authentic and understood self.

I am a warm, collaborative therapist who is passionate about helping people feel more understood, supported, and empowered in their lives. I work with clients to navigate stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, self-esteem concerns, and emotional overwhelm by combining evidence-based approaches with a compassionate, personalized style. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences openly, gain insight into patterns that may be holding you back, and develop practical tools to support lasting change and emotional resilience. I integrate approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and solution-focused strategies to help clients build self-awareness, challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, and move toward meaningful, achievable goals. I value collaboration and meet clients where they are, recognizing that therapy is not one-size-fits-all and that each person’s journey is unique. I also have a strong interest in working with athletes, particularly those navigating major transitions such as career-ending injuries. I understand how deeply identity, purpose, and emotional well-being can be impacted when an athletic career changes or comes to an unexpected end. I support athletes in processing grief, rebuilding confidence, redefining identity beyond sport, and creating a renewed sense of direction and fulfillment. My approach emphasizes resilience, self-compassion, and helping clients reconnect with their strengths as they move forward into the next chapter of their lives.

I am not taking Couples, but I am taking individuals that are or are not in a relationship and need help. We were never taught how to be in a relationship of any kind. Yes there are tons of books of how to, however to put them to practical use can be very difficult. This can also relate to a relationship with a family member, friends or co-workers. Sometimes our own mental health can influence all of our relationships, and you may need coping techniques for anxiety and or depression type symptoms. I will work with you individually to help you gain insight to your own behavior that may be influencing your relationship. I am here to help beit coping strategies for anxiety and depression symptoms or learning how to communicate more effectively with others.

Hello, I am Jennifer. I am a licensed therapist with over 25 years of experience supporting people of all ages through various transitions and challenges. I offer a unique approach to mental health that integrates clinical therapy with moderate physical exercise in the great outdoors. I focus on helping people with anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress/burnout, infertility and alcohol misuse while increasing nourishing habits such as exercise, sleep, nutrition, and other practices that reduce symptoms and calm the nervous system. Have you ever wished you could get in-person therapy without having to sit in an office with the therapist? Do you feel too busy to schedule both therapy and exercise into one day and wish the two could be combined? If so, then "walk and talk" could be a good fit for you. I offer the opportunity to receive counseling or coaching while outside in nature and moving your body. Research demonstrates that both exercise and spending time outdoors in sunlight and green spaces provides a reduction in symptoms associated with depression, anxiety, and stress while improving mood overall. My unique "walk and talk" method addresses all three aspects of healing and growth: physical, psychological, and spiritual. Have you found yourself wondering if you are drinking too much and/or too often? Are you tired of experiencing low energy, anxiety, depression, disrupted sleep, sugar cravings, etc. and you wish you had a coach to support you as you navigate a new way of living alcohol free? If you are sober curious, I am here to help!

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, and somatic mindfulness to help you explore what’s happening in both your mind and body when stress, triggers, or difficult emotions arise. This approach can be especially helpful if you’ve tried therapy before but still feel stuck in the same emotional or relational patterns. Rather than trying to simply push through symptoms, we work with the wisdom of your mind–body system to understand where these patterns come from. Many of the reactions that show up today—whether emotional activation, mood dysregulation, or relational challenges—developed as ways your system learned to protect you. Together, we gently explore these patterns and begin to unburden the wounds, memories, nervous system responses, or beliefs that may still be shaping your experience. Over time, many people begin to feel less reactive, more regulated, and more connected to their authentic selves.

Everyone has the ability to thrive and reach their full potential, and it is through this process of discovery that makes me passionate about working with my clients. I provide support, empathy, and understanding in every session while we explore life's challenges that often make us feel "stuck." I believe that therapy is a journey of self-discovery of not only one's own underlying issues, but also of our own unique potential to strive for hope and resiliency. Services in Spanish are also available. Life can be filled with many challenges and often, we just need to look for some space to contain our thoughts. Allow me to work with you in identifying your goals, explore options, and try to overcome obstacles. My goal is to help you recognize the strengths that you inherently hold while helping you feel supported reinforce the idea that you are enough! I currently offer services to adults looking to explore their own interpersonal growth through a secure tele-health platform.

Hello, I am Maria Morales, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, born and raised in San Fernando Valley. I received my Undergraduate Degree in Liberal Studies from Mount Saint Mary's University in 2010 and continued my education at the University of Southern California receiving my Master in Social Work and Public Health in 2015. Establishing rapport is essential in psychotherapy as well as maintaining confidentiality. I often draws on my shared cultural experiences with clients, fostering an environment where openness and vulnerability are encouraged. I am mindful of the cultural nuances in communication styles that may affect trust and disclosure while we work together in therapy to understand the "why" we need therapy to change life patterns that just aren't working anymore.

I am a bilingual (Spanish & English) marriage and family therapist licensed in California with over 14 years of experience working in clinical practice. I am born and raised in San Francisco's Mission District. I am Salvarodan and Nicaraguan; and a native Spanish speaker. I adhere to the First Nations (Maya and Nahuatl) and Yoruba paradigm of health and wellness. I integrate these paradigms within the framework of Liberation Psychology; and evidenced-based techniques and interventions to empower clients on their healing journey. I understand how forced displacement, systemic & institutionalized oppression, discrimination, and the multitude of microagressions historically marginalized communities endure lead to the re-enactment of the violence caused by colonialism. Affirmation about cultural and ethnic identity is generally lacking at the present moment resulting in many communities experiencing traumatic, and humiliating experiences related to their ethnic pride and culture.

Search therapists by insurance

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by California rather than a city like LA?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in California. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across California from San Francisco to San Diego! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in California.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on Women's Issues?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Women's Issues, is filtering therapists in California that work with patients with similar concerns.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What happens during the first therapy session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
