About me

Hello ~ My name is Georgia and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Work. My life experience, education and extensive professional training has brought me on a wonderful journey of helping others. I focus on creating an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared in a nonjudgemental space. As a therapist, it's an honor and privilege to be part of the lives of my clients and the ability to walk along with them in their most vulnerable times.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

First sessions with a new therapist can be scary for some. My goal is to provide a calm space so we can build rapport and that well needed trust when one is meeting a new provider.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My strengths are compassion, listening and empathy. I am calm and present during sessions. My approach and objective is meeting my clients where they are at with hopes to explore and witness growth and change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I view my practice as a team effort with my clients. In our sessions, we will collaborate to figure out what interventions and support will benefit you. Some sessions may be providing safe space for ventilation and other sessions will be focusing on specific needs requiring in depth tailoring with the appropriate interventions. No change is too small.

My treatment methods

Humanistic

As a therapist, I want to support you and meet you where you're at; I provide empathy, acceptance and travel beside you as we build rapport. The client takes an active role by exploring thoughts and feelings and helps navigate the sessions. We will focus on the present with gentle guidance as we move forward.

Motivational Interviewing

Exploring and building client strengths is a positive component to successful outcomes. Using reflective listening with open ended questions helps build trust and compassion providing the client a safe nonjudgemental space in hopes to motivate a behavior change.
