LMFT, 7 years of experience
We were never taught how to be in a relationship of any kind. Yes there are tons of books of how to, however to put them to practical use can be very difficult. This can also relate to a relationship with a family member, friends or co-workers. Sometimes our own mental health can influence all of our relationships, and you may need coping techniques for anxiety and or depression type symptoms. I will work with you individually to help you gain insight to your own behavior that may be influencing your relationship. I am here to help beit coping strategies for anxiety and depression symptoms or learning how to communicate more effectively with others.
Your first session I will ask what is your goal to achieve in Therapy, but also obtain a background from you of how you grew up, and what is important to you.
My specialties are Individual Therapy and working with you to meet your goal. I am very Solution Focused and will use this along with Mindfulness.
In this section it is asking me to write "who is my ideal Client" well that is difficult to say. Every Client deserves to correct toxic behavior, to reach their goal, to have skills to manage their stress...

I really enjoyed meeting with Gail, just from this first session we really took a lot and it felt like a nice fresh breath of air being able to talk to someone about our relationship that actually provide some good direction. She was very authentic and honest and she gave us some great tips on how to navigate emotions. We look forward to talking to Gail for our next session!

Gail did a wonderful job understanding both my wife and I, as well as our individual triggers. She helped us recognize each other’s perspectives, acknowledge our mistakes, and learn how to grow from them. She also set clear and realistic expectations moving forward, should we choose to continue with counseling.
I find that most Clients are stuck in their symptoms such as Anxiety and find it difficult to look at Solutions. I not only will educate you on coping skills but breaking through whatever barrier it is. So, what is your goal? Tell me what you would like to see happen, and we can work together to achieve that. Your goal may change and that’s okay, I’m here to support you.
This is the first line of defense that I use in my practice to assist Clients to gain awareness of their symptoms or negative behaviors.
CBT allows you to be in control. In control of reducing your symptoms, negative thinking and negative behaviors.
