Hi there! I’m Jazmin, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California. I specialize in working with teens and adults who are navigating anxiety, eating disorders, and the everyday stressors that come with school, work, relationships, and the ongoing journey of figuring out who you are. In our sessions, we’ll explore your emotions, develop ways to manage stress, and build practical tools to help you feel more grounded and confident in your day-to-day life. My approach is warm, conversational, and tailored to your unique needs. I create a space where you can show up just as you are—no pressure, no judgment. If you’re interested in working together, I’d love to connect. You can learn more about me at jazminalarcontherapy.com!
In our first session together we will begin with introductions and explore why you decided to seek treatment. We will collaborate on treatment goals and which therapeutic approach works best for you. Going forward our time together will consist of check ins, skills learning, and emotional processing.
My greatest strength is meeting clients where they are at. I customize my approach to fit each client’s needs, ensuring it’s clear and relevant for them.
I enjoy working with young people transitioning into adulthood. My clients often know who they are but feel pressured by society to look and act a certain way. They can feel overwhelmed by everyday tasks and struggle to manage their emotions.
In our sessions, I foster a non-judgmental space where clients learn to accept their thoughts and feelings, empowering them to align with their core values. Through mindfulness techniques and goal-setting exercises, we collaboratively navigate the path to meaningful, committed actions that lead to lasting fulfillment.
I collaborate with individuals to identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, fostering a deeper understanding of the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. My goal is to empower clients to reshape negative thinking, overcome challenges, and improve their overall well being.
I embrace a Multicultural Approach to therapy, recognizing the importance of cultural sensitivity in the healing process. By integrating cultural competence into our work, I strive to create an environment that respects and values the richness of different perspectives. My goal is to collaboratively explore how cultural factors impact thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
