Hi there! My name is Sharon Price. Do you feel unseen and unheard, lonely in your relationships and family? Do you wish to have happy relationships but feel down and burdened? I work with individuals, couples and families from 3-83 in helping them cope with heavy hearts that rob them of the joy of connection. For the last 6 years, I have been working with children in foster care (ages 3-21), exploring issues of trauma, attachment loss, anger issues, depression and anxiety. I know life can be tough and together we can work to find a solution to your unique challenges. I love helping individuals learn new ways of communicating their wants and needs. Whether they be children and parents who need better ways of communicating and working through the many challenges of the parent-child relationship or a couple who has had a breakdown in communication and needs guidance in building healthy ways of communicating and creating healthy, happy families. I know together we can find a path right for you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session is a get to know you session where you can tell me a bit about yourself and your history and what brings you to therapy. Together we will identify both short and long-term goals and begin to explore ways to help you achieve your goals. After that first session we can work in a systematic manner to achieve your goals, or use themes that have arisen during the week to explore healthy coping strategies. I believe that you are the expert of you and feel confident we can find solutions that best fit your unique needs.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I use a variety of strategies in supporting you in achieving your goals including: Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Treatment (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Treatment (TFCBT), Dialectical Behavioral Treatment (DBT), Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and problem solving skills.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength is in providing a non-judgmental, friendly and collaborative relationship with my clients that supports them in reaching their goals. Seeking help when things are tough is hard and I want my clients to feel they are in a safe place to explore their needs and create change.
