Hello and welcome! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist (LMFT) based in California. I received my Masters Degree from Phillips Graduate Institute and have been providing therapeutic services in a variety of settings with multiple populations for over 14 years. With years of experience in the field, I bring a deep understanding of the complexities of human relationships and the impact they have on your overall well-being. I draw from evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, attachment and family systems theory, to help you navigate through your challenges and achieve the outcomes you desire. In our sessions, we will work collaboratively to explore your concerns, uncover underlying patterns, and develop practical strategies for overcoming obstacles.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, explore the specific challenges you're experiencing, explore the goals you hope to achieve that will help me conceptualize the help you may need, then we will collaboratively create a tailored treatment plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Your well-being and satisfaction are my top priorities, and I am committed to supporting you every step of the way. I am passionate about helping individuals and families thrive. With a client-centered approach, I provide a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your challenges, strengthen your connections, and find the tools you need to create a fulfilling and harmonious life. I believe in creating a non-judgmental and empathetic space where you can openly express your thoughts, emotions, and concerns. I strive to foster a therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and confidentiality. I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet your specific needs and goals. Whether you are facing communication issues, conflicts, trust issues, or any other relationship difficulties, I am here to guide you towards positive change and growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with individuals who are active and engaged in therapy sessions, who have a thirst for knowledge and learning. My clients are eager to make changes in their lives, but don't yet have the tools or understanding of how to make their goals a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about the changes in their lives, and enjoy a personable, warm and collaborative approach in their therapy sessions.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

Attachment based methods look at the connection between a child's early attachment experiences with primary caregivers, and the child's ability to develop normally, and ultimately form healthy emotional connections in relationships as an adult.

Humanistic

Humanistic therapy focuses on self-actualization and personal development. It helps people uncover their authentic selves and realize their full potential. Through this process, people can gain clarity about their values, aspirations, and goals, leading to a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps people learn how to identify and change destructive or disturbing thought patterns that have a negative influence on their behavior and emotions. Through CBT, faulty thoughts are identified, challenged, and replaced with more objective, realistic thoughts.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

The aim of DBT is to help with understanding and accepting the experience of intense feelings, The main goals are to teach people how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships with others.

Grief Therapy

Grief is a process, that can be associated with many forms of loss. Validating and normalizing each stage of grief is critical to healing. This being just our first session, I can't offer much yet. But Kristina was very warm and easy to talk to making this process much easier. I'm definitely looking forward to this process and working with her to make myself a better version of myself.

I connected with Kristina quickly. We seem a good fit. I feel she understands my needs, she wants to set goals for me, and/or give me tools to help me help myself. We will work well together to decide my best path forward.
