Hi there! I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California. I received my Master degree from California State University, Bakersfield. I am a military child who loves to help other military children with the struggles of having a parent deployed and transitioning from school to school. I also love to help young adults struggling with anxiety and stress to help reduce these symptoms and be the best version of themselves.
In our first session together, will start with brief introductions, then began to process specific goals and challenges that are impacting you day to day. Through building report with each other and understanding your goals, this will help create a treatment plan that we will agree upon and work towards and follow-up sessions.
Some of my greatest strengths as being a young professional is that I have been working with adults and auto lessons for the past seven years. I’ve been able to help clients reduce their symptoms as well as allowing them to become functional members of society by obtaining employment once they have been able to decrease their symptomology’s that continue to create barriers in their life. I do well with building report with my client and understanding our treatment focus as well as challenging clients to become the best versions of this selves. I also do a great job of checking and making sure that clients feel that we are making progress in treatment.
I love working with young individuals who are struggling with their cultural identify feel more accepted. I also love working with military children who are struggling with familial conflicts as well as establishing relationships due to hardships of childhood. My clients are motivated and eager to improve however through collaboration we are able to utilize their strengths as well as skills to hone into making their dreams and goals into reality. Majority of the time young adults and others individuals struggle with anxiety and depression due to internal conflicts that arise and through our process and trusting relationship, I will help clients reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.
I have been using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy to address client’s intrusive thoughts about overwhelming conflicts in their life that is currently causing a change in their homeostasis by breaking down the conflict into smaller parts. Through interventions, client’s identify negative patterns in their thought process. This therapy is utilized to identify thoughts, emotions, and behaviors related to current ongoing conflicts.
I have been using Trauma Informed Care assist clients in understand how their trauma has an impact on emotions, regulation, and behavior. Client’s also consider intergenerational trauma and identify strengths in breaking these behaviors.
I utilize Solution-focused brief therapy to assist client on identifying strengths and to focus on setting goals and working out how to achieve them and support positive change in their day to day living.
