About me

I help couples and individuals to navigate turbulent times to find their innate vitality and loving relationships. As a couples therapist, I can help you move beyond patterns of arguing and conflict. You will learn how to communicate and express yourself and be heard and received. I also help couples who are striving to find a path to either stay together or move in. I also guide individuals with financial and/or time constraints to move towards a life balancing family, work and personal passion. I have decades of experience helping people achieve a healthy, happy long life filled with joy and connection. When we work together, I listen to your story. I bring decades of experience, but you are the expert on your own life. I’ll do a deep dive to understand how your symptoms affect you. My role isn’t to diagnose or label you. Instead, I offer invitations to explore new perspectives, try different approaches, and gently challenge the patterns holding you back. I feel confident about my abilities to help you to move forward into the life you have always desired. Therapy can be a daunting experience. I appreciate your courage in pursuing help. I always bring a sense of playfulness to the journey. Things can be hard and still be fun. I look forward to hearing from you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session with me, you can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where your story matters. We'll start by exploring what brought you in, what you’re hoping to get out of therapy, and any immediate concerns on your mind. I’ll ask questions to get a sense of your history, relationships, and the patterns you’re noticing—always at your pace. We’ll discuss what’s working (and what’s not), as well as what you’d like to change in your life or relationship. I’ll do less talking and more listening, but I’ll also offer gentle guidance and clarify how therapy with me works. By the end of our first session, we’ll have begun to outline some specific goals and you’ll have a clear sense of my style—a mix of compassion, practicality, and just enough levity to keep things real. Above all, my hope is that you leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and optimistic that positive change is possible.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a therapist are warmth, realness, and helping clients feel truly understood while also moving toward practical change. What stands out about my approach is the blend of evidence-based methods (like CBT, Gottman Method, and mindfulness) with deep compassion and a willingness to use humor where it helps. Clients often tell me they appreciate that therapy feels safe, direct, and refreshingly nonjudgmental—but also focused and results-oriented when it matters most. I tailor my methods to your unique goals, drawing on proven tools for communication, self-awareness, and emotion regulation. You’ll notice that sessions balance insight with actionable steps—so you leave not just feeling better, but actually equipped to handle life’s challenges. Ultimately, my goal is to help clients experience real relief, stronger connections, and greater confidence in themselves and their relationships.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

People who are ready to do the work. My dream client is someone who’s ready to make a real change—whether you’re a couple tired of going in circles and longing to feel close and understood again, or an individual determined to move beyond anxiety, depression, or the chaos of ADD/ADHD. If you crave honest conversation, want practical strategies, and are open to laughter along with the hard work, we’ll be a great fit. You value authenticity, are willing to be a bit vulnerable, and want a safe space to build confidence, connection, and calm. If you’re tired of just “getting by” and are ready to reclaim joy in your life or partnership, I’d love to work with you.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a practical, evidence-based therapy that helps individuals and couples identify and change unhelpful thought patterns, leading to healthier behaviors and improved emotional well-being. For professionals and couples over 35, CBT offers tools to reduce anxiety and depression, and builds communication skills that foster stronger relationships. With its structured, goal-oriented approach, CBT delivers lasting skills for managing stress, boosting confidence, and creating positive change.

Gestalt

Gestalt Therapy is a holistic, present-focused therapy that helps people become more self-aware and authentic in how they interact with themselves and others. For adults and couples, it improves emotional awareness, deepens connection, and teaches strategies to handle stress and difficult emotions in the moment. This approach fosters genuine communication, personal growth, and greater satisfaction in life and relationships.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is an evidence-based approach that strengthens emotional bonds, fosters secure attachment, and helps people or couples communicate and resolve conflict more effectively. For professionals and couples over 35, EFT increases emotional awareness, helps navigate anxiety or depression, and transforms negative cycles into empathy and connection. The result is deeper trust, greater resilience, and more fulfilling relationships.

Couples Counseling

Couples counseling helps partners improve communication, deepen understanding, and resolve conflicts by providing a safe, neutral space to express concerns and practice new skills. For adults over 35, it builds empathy, addresses patterns that block intimacy, and supports growth through life’s challenges—leading to stronger, more resilient relationships. With guidance from a therapist, couples can reconnect emotionally, rebuild trust, and develop strategies for lasting partnership satisfaction

Gottman method

The Gottman Method is a research-based approach to couples therapy that helps partners communicate better, manage conflict constructively, and deepen intimacy and trust. For adults over 35, it offers practical, evidence-backed tools to break negative cycles and strengthen friendship, respect, and shared life meaning. Partners learn to replace criticism and defensiveness with understanding and appreciation, leading to a more stable and satisfying relationship.
