(she/her)
I help individuals find relief from anxious thoughts, worries, and overthinking and discover the next logical steps for challenges related to relationships, work stress, communication and family issues. I assist you to gain control of your thoughts and free up mental energy to be more present to connect with your family and friends, increase motivation to achieve your goals, and allow more feelings of joy in your life. I am a psychologist, Dr. Frances He, Psy.D. I am passionate about helping clients to see and experience the possibility of moving their happiness up a notch and having consistent peace and joy in life. I love to see my clients feeling empowered not to settle for what is. I speak both Cantonese and Mandarin. I also attend regularly at a local church.
During our first meeting, I will review your intake information with you and help identify your treatment goals. I will also explain my approach and the interventions I use to address your specific needs. As we continue working together over time, you will begin to develop practical tools and strategies to better manage your thoughts, leading to a greater sense of relief, inner peace, and hope. This process will support you in discovering solutions to your current challenges and gaining clarity on your next steps. Please note that I do not provide services related to completing or assisting with paperwork for FMLA or EDD disability claims.
My strength lies in working with adults experiencing mild anxiety or mild depression related to life stressors, including relationship challenges, work-related pressures, family concerns, and questions around life direction and purpose. I take a practical, goal-oriented approach to therapy—helping you understand patterns in your thinking, develop effective coping strategies, and build a more balanced and grounded perspective. Clients often appreciate that our work together is both supportive and actionable. I aim to help you not only gain insight, but also leave sessions with tools you can apply in your daily life to feel more confident, steady, and capable of handling challenges
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Some of my approaches include an evidence-based form of psychotherapy called cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy. I help you identify your unwanted thoughts, and then we will work together to reframe them into more productive and positive ideas. You will be encouraged to focus on positive aspects in life and build on your strength to shift your limiting thought patterns.
