I specialize in Trauma, depression and anxiety. I have worked in many therapeutic settings, with individuals experiencing moderate to severe symptoms of PTSD, depression and anxiety. I enjoy working with individuals that are motivated to engage in deep self-reflection, seeking understanding of past experiences and their impact on current struggles and committed to healing and growth, showing a readiness to work through difficult emotions and patterns in order to create lasting change.
Beginning to trust and be vulnerable with a therapist can be scary and challenging. As a trauma informed and focused therapist, I have a deep understanding of the influence of traumatic experiences have on our current thoughts, moods, and behaviors. I will assist in the exploration of the impact of these traumatic events and find ways to challenge and change uncomfortable thoughts, feelings and behaviors, to allow you to move out of survival and begin to thrive.
We will explore your early childhood experiences and connections that have contributed to ways we seek and provide love and support. We will discover attachment styles, and how they impact all dynamics and relationships in your life and love-languages to encourage self awareness, boundaries and healthier relationships.
As you share your story and experiences, we will identify your values and create meaning in experiences. Often times, we will work together to rediscover and create a new story or narrative that highlights your values, strength and skills.
We’ll work together to discover underlying thoughts and emotions that have created tension or conflict throughout areas of your life. Discovering and addressing these unconscious and uncomfortable thoughts, can be healing and allow ways to address, challenge and change these to release tension and stress throughout different life areas.
