In our first session together, here's what you can expect
From the very beginning of therapy, you will learn coping skills to help you get through your day and begin making progress on the issues that brought you into treatment. As we progress, you will gain a clearer understanding of the source of your challenges, how they developed, and how you can move beyond them. You will gain strength and confidence as well as the ability to create the life you want for yourself.
The treatment methods and tools I utilize
My primary approach to treatment is humanistic/existential. Additionally I blend elements of dialectical behavior therapy, narrative therapy, and solution focused therapy into my work. My approach is highly strengths-based and empathic as well as holistic. I encourage you to bring your whole self - mind, body, and spirit - into therapy. I incorporate mindfulness techniques and self-expression into therapy sessions.
