Hello and welcome! I have been a licensed psychologist in California since 2016. My goal is to help individuals enhance their sense of well being and experience a greater sense of meaning in their lives. This can be done by acquiring coping skills to identify, and refute unhelpful habits of thinking, increase self-compassion and self-care. My approach to counseling is strengths based and empowerment focused. I use a collaborative and egalitarian style with people who I works with in counseling. When meeting with me for the first time, clients can expect an opportunity to explore presenting concerns and potential goals for treatment. I received his Bachelors degree Psychology from the George Washington University, my first Masters degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University and my second Masters degree and Doctorate in Clinical-Community Psychology from the University of La Verne. When I’m not working with clients, you can find me in the garden!

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help clients deepen their awareness of the values that are most important to them and ways that they can integrate these values more fully into their actions and decision making processes as a means of invigorating their lives with more meaning and purpose.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT interventions to help clients more fully understand unhelpful habits of thinking that they experience, negative core beliefs that they hold about themselves and strategies for restructuring thoughts and beliefs to be as accurate and pragmatic as possible.

Compassion Focused

I use Compassion Focused therapy interventions in order to help normalize and validate a clients experience and strengthen their ability to offer compassion to themselves and others.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use the core skills of mindfulness and mindful meditations in order to help clients to strengthen their ability to be more fully present in the moment, reduce emotional reactivity and more intentionally deal with thoughts, emotions and body sensations.
